Rüsselsheim/Munich, September 2025 – Opel has taken centre stage at this year’s IAA Mobility in Munich, showcasing a bold vision for the future of electrified performance. Under the banner of “OMG! GSE,” the German brand revealed two spectacular world premieres: the Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo and the all-new Opel Mokka GSE. Alongside these debuts, Opel also celebrated the first public appearance of its Grandland Electric AWD – the brand’s first all-electric all-wheel-drive model – and introduced the Mokka GSE Rally, a striking example of electric motorsport innovation.
“We are bringing the motto of this year’s IAA Mobility, ‘It’s all about mobility,’ to life,” said Opel CEO Florian Huettl. “Visitors will be amazed at how we have created a unique concept car with the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo, which can be experienced both digitally and in real life. And with the new Mokka GSE and the new Grandland Electric AWD, we are bringing pure electromotive passion into series production for our customers.”
Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo: Digital Meets Reality
The star of Opel’s stand in Hall B3 is the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo, a concept car that blurs the boundaries between the virtual and physical worlds. Designed for both the road and the legendary racing simulator Gran Turismo 7, it represents the pinnacle of Opel’s high-performance GSE philosophy.
With 588 kW (800 hp) of output, 800 Nm of torque, a blistering 0–100 km/h sprint in just 2.0 seconds, and a top speed of 320 km/h, the concept redefines small-car performance.
Its design is a study in precision: sharp, muscular contours and advanced aerodynamic features – from active diffusers to aero spoilers – enhance both efficiency and presence. The cockpit mirrors the sharpened Opel Compass design language, offering a race-inspired driving experience where critical information is projected onto a head-up display, keeping distractions to a minimum.
This dual existence – as a real-world show car and a digital racing machine – symbolises Opel’s innovative approach to performance electrification.

OMG! GSE Energy: Mokka GSE and Mokka GSE Rally
Opel’s rallying DNA powers into the EV era with the Mokka GSE Rally, a motorsport-bred machine unveiled earlier this year at the ADAC Opel Electric Rally Cup. Featuring a motorsport wrap with bold OMG! GSE graphics, black bonnet, yellow brake calipers, and 207 kW (281 hp) of peak performance, the car embodies Opel’s electrified racing ambitions.
The rally machine directly informs the production-ready Mokka GSE, which matches its motorsport sibling’s 207 kW (281 hp) and 345 Nm of torque. With 0–100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h, it becomes Opel’s fastest all-electric production model.
Chassis and handling dynamics are enhanced by motorsport-proven technologies: a Torsen multi-plate limited-slip differential, specially engineered axles, and dual hydraulic dampers. The result is a compact SUV that delivers both everyday usability and track-inspired exhilaration.
Grandland Electric AWD: Opel’s First All-Electric All-Wheel-Drive SUV
Completing Opel’s Munich showcase is the Grandland Electric AWD, making its public debut as the brand’s first electric SUV with all-wheel drive.
The top-of-the-line SUV combines 239 kW (325 hp) and 509 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in 6.1 seconds while offering up to 501 km (WLTP) of range depending on trim.
Driving pleasure is heightened by selectable modes – Normal, Eco, Sport, and 4WD – allowing drivers to adapt performance and efficiency to conditions. Advanced chassis engineering, including Frequency Selective Damping, ensures a balance of comfort and dynamic precision.
Opel at the Heart of Munich
Opel’s innovations will be on full display not only at the IAA Summit (Hall B3, Booth B20) but also in the heart of Munich at the Open Space (Odeonsplatz, Booth OP340), where visitors can experience the future of electrified driving up close.
With its latest premieres, Opel makes a compelling statement: the brand’s electrification journey is not just about efficiency and sustainability but about performance, excitement, and pure driving passion.
