Themed “Co-Create, Co-Define”, the summit brought together users, media, and industry leaders from across the globe to explore how technology and user experience are increasingly intertwined. At the heart of the flagship event, International Technology Night, were OMODA&JAECOO’s latest advancements in hybrid powertrains, intelligent mobility systems, and AI-driven user interaction.

Next-Generation Hybrid Powertrain Sets New Benchmark

The summit showcased OMODA&JAECOO’s cutting-edge plug-in hybrid platform, an evolution of the globally recognised Super Hybrid System (SHS). Highlights include:

  • 1.5-litre TDGI hybrid engine with Miller-cycle technology and intelligent combustion, achieving a remarkable 44.5% thermal efficiency, far surpassing industry standards.
  • Urban fuel consumption as low as 5.99 L/100 km (47.8 mpg), delivering real-world efficiency without compromising on performance.
  • High-performance hybrid battery with enhanced safety features – including heat and impact resistance, water protection, and rapid shutoff in collisions – providing up to 90 km of pure electric driving range and 3.3 kW Vehicle-to-Load output, ideal for outdoor or emergency power needs.

This combination ensures superlative performance, ultra-low energy use, and extended range, ready for both urban commutes and long-distance travel.

Engine Innovation Redefines Efficiency

Chery International also unveiled its latest powerplant achieving an industry-first 48% thermal efficiency – a leap over conventional engines averaging 38–45%. This breakthrough is enabled by:

  • 26:1 ultra-high expansion ratio
  • Advanced hyperbolic triple-linkage crank mechanisms
  • 35% Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) rate
  • High-efficiency thermal insulation coatings

Every 1% improvement in thermal efficiency can reduce internal combustion engine fuel use by approximately 2.5%, bringing hybrid running costs closer to those of pure-electric vehicles without the same infrastructure demands. Series production of this engine is slated for 2027.
