London, 7 August 2025 – Following an impressive UK debut that saw over 11,000 units sold in under a year, OMODA has announced significant upgrades to its standout 5 and E5 SUVs. Now in their MY25 iterations, the petrol-powered OMODA 5 and fully electric OMODA E5 have been refined with notable enhancements to handling, technology, comfort, and efficiency—strengthening the marque’s reputation for delivering value-driven vehicles with premium sensibilities.
These updates follow the successful arrival of the brand’s OMODA 9 SHS flagship SUV and continue the momentum that’s made OMODA one of the fastest-growing names in the UK’s SUV segment.
Sharper Driving, Smarter Cabin: OMODA 5 Evolves for 2025
The MY25 OMODA 5 now benefits from a revised front suspension geometry and a new electric steering setup, ensuring sharper, more responsive handling. Complementing this is a fresh front-wheel hub and bearing design, paired with improved brake linings, elevating both driving dynamics and safety credentials.
Inside, OMODA 5 draws heavily from its electric sibling, adopting the E5’s interior architecture for a sportier, more dynamic feel. Both available trim levels—Knight (entry-level) and Noble (range-topping)—have been treated to a raft of upgrades that enhance user experience.
A new dual 12.25-inch curved screen setup, now angled towards the driver, delivers a more intuitive and engaging layout. Ergonomics have been improved with a repositioned gear selector (now a steering-column-mounted stalk), a redesigned steering wheel, and a more conveniently located wireless charging pad.
Six-way manually adjustable front seats are now standard, while the Noble adds powered adjustment for added comfort. Boot capacity has also increased from 372 litres to 430 litres thanks to the removal of the full-size spare wheel—while folding the rear seats opens up a generous 697 litres of total cargo space.
Under the bonnet, the 1.6-litre turbocharged direct-injection engine continues to deliver 147 PS while reducing emissions to 170 g/km, maintaining a balance of performance and economy.

Electrified Efficiency: OMODA E5 Welcomes New Battery and Heat Pump
The MY25 OMODA E5 receives a major efficiency upgrade with a new 61 kWh battery from CATL, offering increased energy density and an impressive WLTP-estimated range of 267 miles. Charging capability has been boosted to 130 kW DC and 10.3 kW AC, while integrated charging now supports 80 kW DC and 9.9 kW AC rates.
A newly fitted heat pump—exclusive to the Noble trim—improves energy management in colder climates, enhancing overall efficiency and range stability year-round.
The cabin updates mirror those of the OMODA 5, while the E5 Noble also adds an adjustable front passenger seat to further improve comfort and usability.
New Look Line-Up: Knight and Noble Trims Define the Range
OMODA has introduced “Knight” as the new entry-level trim across both models, joining the established “Noble” variant. Both grades boast a strong feature set, with the Noble offering a particularly upmarket specification, including roof rails and 19-inch alloy wheels as standard.
The restructured line-up is available immediately through OMODA’s 75+ UK dealerships, supported by a compelling ownership package:
- 7-year / 100,000-mile warranty
- 8-year battery warranty (E5)
- RAC Home Start included as standard
