Cairo, Egypt – Nissan has announced a strategic reshuffle in its Africa, Middle East, India, Europe & Oceania (AMIEO) region, designed to accelerate the delivery of its Re:Nissan transformation plan while enhancing operational efficiency, customer focus, and market agility.
Effective 1 January, Jordi Vila, currently Divisional Vice President (DVP) and Nissan Africa President, assumes additional responsibility as DVP Nissan Europe and will lead Aftersales and Brand for the entire AMIEO region, while continuing his oversight of African markets.
With over 30 years of experience at Nissan, Vila has built a distinguished career across multiple regions, including Europe, Asia & Oceania, and Africa. He previously served as Vice President, Sales and Network Operations for Nissan Europe (2017–2020), followed by Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales for Asia and Oceania, before taking on the role of Divisional Vice President, Marketing and Sales Europe. Since 2024, he has operated between South Africa and Egypt as DVP and President Nissan Africa.
In a move aimed at streamlining operations, Nissan will integrate its Product Planning and Marketing functions into a single, product-focused organization. This reorganization is intended to accelerate processes from concept to launch, improving alignment with customer expectations and market dynamics.
Commenting on the changes, Massimiliano Messina, Nissan AMIEO Chairperson, said:
“The Re:Nissan plan is about transformation and customer-centricity. By combining our product planning and marketing functions and empowering regional leadership, we are creating a more agile organization that can respond quickly to market dynamics and deliver competitive, compelling products. I am confident these changes will strengthen our performance and supercharge our progress in 2026.”
These adjustments underscore Nissan’s commitment to delivering innovative products and services with speed and precision, ensuring that diverse markets within AMIEO continue to receive a tailored and high-quality customer experience.
