Top towing capacities for Nissan 4x4s

ROSSLYN, South Africa (11 November 2013) – Nissan’s Pathfinder and Patrol SUV ranges are not only famous for their legendary reliability, versatility, durability and off-road capabilities, but each boasts an equally significant attribute which elevates them to the top of their class: towing capacity.
The Pathfinder range boasts other class-leading elements including 140kW of power from the 2.5 dCi turbocharged diesel engine. This, when coupled with torque of 450 Nm, translates into a towing capacity of 3 000 kg.
The top-of-the-range Pathfinder V9X trumps its competitors too with a towing capacity of 3 500 kg, thanks in no small part to the 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 diesel engine which produces 170 kW and 550 Nm from as low as 1 750 rpm.
The Nissan Patrol, a legendary icon in the off-road fraternity, also boasts high towing capacities – the 380 Nm 3.0Di GL is able to haul 2 700 kg while the 190 kW/ 425 Nm Patrol 4.8 GRX with its straight-six petrol engine is able to tug 3 500 kg.
