Nissan GB is pleased to announce that Russell Forbes will join the company as its new Fleet Director, taking up the role on 16 February. Bringing more than 20 years of automotive industry experience, Russell joins Nissan at a pivotal moment as the business continues to accelerate the electrification of its vehicle portfolio.
Russell’s career spans retail, OEM, fleet, and financial services, with senior leadership experience across multiple sectors of the automotive industry. His background includes dealer principal-level roles in retail, as well as regional and national positions at both Nissan GB and Audi UK, covering new and used cars alongside fleet operations.
Most recently, Russell served as Sales Director at Santander Leasing. His extensive experience equips him with a unique understanding of dealer operations, OEM fleet strategy, and fleet funding partnerships—insight that will be invaluable as he works with Nissan’s dealer partners and FN50 funders to drive growth and unlock new fleet opportunities.
Russell succeeds Bryan Curtis, who is retiring after a distinguished career with Nissan. Ed Jones, Sales Director at Nissan GB, paid tribute to both leaders, saying:
“We are delighted that Russell Forbes is joining the company. It’s an exciting time for Nissan in the UK, and there will be no shortage of fleet-oriented opportunities to explore during the coming year and beyond. We are confident he will enjoy the challenge and extend the warmest of welcomes.”
“At the same time, we offer our heartfelt thanks to Bryan Curtis for all that he has done during his time as Fleet Director and wish him every happiness in his well-earned retirement.”
As Nissan GB continues to innovate and expand its electrified lineup, Russell Forbes’ appointment reinforces the company’s commitment to fleet excellence, strategic growth, and strong partnerships with dealers and funders alike.
