Nezha Conquers the Dragon King
On the 30th of May 2014 Google Featured the “Nezha Conquers the Dragon King” on their Hong Kong Google Search Engine pages. This was done to celebrate the release of the movie “Nezha Conquers the Dragon King” which were screened for the first time at the 1980 Cannes Film Festival.
The story have its roots in Chinese Mythology and is about the warrior deity Nezha, who became a student of the immortal Taiyi Zhenren.
The story revolves around Nezha’s fight with Ao Guang, the Dragon King of the Eastern Sea. Nezha uses bravery and wit to finally defeat the Dragon King when he manage to infiltrate the Dragon King’s underwater palace.
The Doodler responsible for creating the “Nezha Conquers the Dragon King” doodle did a stunning job creating the Nezha Conquers the Dragon King doodle. In the Doodle one can see Nezha using his powers to conquer the ocean. One can also see some of Nezha’s signature moves as he rides the waves on his way to Conquer the Dragon King. The movie is also known as the “Prince Nezha’s Triumph Against Dragon King” which sounds like a Chinese to English translation error.
Nezha Conquers the Dragon King was originally released on May 19, 1979 and was directed by Yan Dingxian, Wang Shuchen and Xu Jingda.
