PRETORIA, South Africa, 27 May 2013 – The new Fiesta ST is Ford’s fastest and most dynamic small production performance car ever. It combines Ford’s cutting-edge design and technology to create a highly desirable compact performance car package.
The Fiesta ST’s sporty silhouette and distinctive styling are achieved using a unique ST bodykit, including a rear spoiler and diffuser with a muscular emphasis that flows from the front fog light surrounds to the wheel arches and sill. At the front of the vehicle a large trapezoidal grille with a unique honeycomb construction further commands attention aided by the Fiesta ST’s dynamic headlight design and sculpted bonnet.
The new Fiesta ST is available in five striking paint colours, each emphasising the new vehicle’s evocative styling. Race Red, Frozen White, Molten Orange and Spirit Blue are among the exciting exterior colour options.
Fiesta ST passengers will be supported by Recaro sports seats in the new Fiesta ST for the first time. The vehicles’ performance credentials are also reflected in the ST steering wheel and alloy-metal pedals and gear-shifter. Striking 17” alloy wheels complete the look.
The Fiesta ST also features Ford’s clever sound symposer system which filters the most attractive engine noises from under the bonnet and delivers them to the cabin, adding to the sporty driving experience.
Other smart features include MyKey® and SYNC™ technology. MyKey allows owners to set maximum speed and audio volume limits and ensures safety features are not disabled, a feature that is particularly useful for younger drivers. SYNC allows the driver to operate digital media players and Bluetooth® enabled mobile phones via voice commands and steering wheel mounted controls.
