Milton Keynes, 05-03-2026 – CUPRA has once again challenged convention with the launch of the new CUPRA Born, redefining what an electric vehicle can be. The brand’s first all-electric car has been re-engineered to deliver sharper, more emotional performance, combining enhanced styling, cutting-edge technology, and a driving experience that excites at every turn.
Embodying CUPRA’s dynamic and recognisable design DNA, the new Born features a refreshed exterior with redesigned front and rear bumpers, triangular Matrix LED lights, and an illuminated CUPRA logo seamlessly integrated into the 3D rear light. The result is a car that asserts presence with a bold, futuristic character while maintaining the unmistakable CUPRA identity.
Inside, the cabin has been transformed to elevate the driving experience. The redesigned steering wheel incorporates intuitive physical controls, while new door panels and materials increase perceived quality throughout the interior. A larger 10.25-inch digital cockpit and augmented reality head-up display enhance the immersive experience, while the upgraded Sennheiser Contrabass sound system and CUPRA’s new Interior Sound Signature deliver an unparalleled connection between driver and machine.
The new CUPRA Born’s performance is equally thrilling. Drivers can choose from four motor-battery configurations, with options including launch control, the innovative One Pedal Driving System, and wider 19- and 20-inch wheels for added grip and stability. Each model delivers the hallmark electrifying performance CUPRA drivers expect, intensifying every journey behind the wheel.
Safety has also been enhanced, with Travel Assist 3.0 offering cloud‑enhanced longitudinal control, Crossroad Assist, upgraded Front Assist with multi-stage warnings, and pre-crash rear detection for intelligent protection. These advanced systems provide confidence and peace of mind, blending seamlessly with the car’s dynamic performance.
Range and charging capabilities make the new Born practical for daily use and long-distance travel. The V1 and V2 models achieve approximately 372 miles on the 79kWh battery, while the VZ delivers 326PS and the same 372-mile range. The 58kWh battery variant offers around 279 miles, ensuring that all drivers can enjoy the efficiency and excitement of a fully electric experience. Charging times are equally convenient, with AC charging up to 11kW and DC fast charging at 185kW, taking as little as 26 to 30 minutes for significant replenishment.
