All Roads Lead to NAMPO with Isuzu and Chevrolet
Isuzu and Chevrolet are taking to the road on a trip through central South Africa to showcase the presence, capability and comfort of the all new Isuzu KB and Chevrolet Trailblazer. General Motors South Africa’s newest vehicles will team up to demonstrate their formidable off-road capabilities and comfort at the largest agricultural show in the southern hemisphere, the Nasionale Mielie Produsente Organasie (NAMPO).
“General Motors South Africa has been a part of the NAMPO Show for the last eight years. We always look forward to meeting our customers and sharing their enthusiasm for our products with them. For this year’s show we have elected to bring along the best off-roaders in our portfolio and will be showcasing both the Isuzu KB and Chevrolet Trailblazer,” says GM South Africa’s General Marketing Manager Alastair Ironside.
South Africa’s bakkie specialists, Isuzu, and the world renowned Chevrolet brand will have the all new Isuzu KB and the recently launched Trailblazer on display at the General Motors stand. The vehicles will also be put through their paces on the NAMPO 4×4 Track in front of an expected 70 000 visitors at the show which will run for a week and is set to begin on May 15th.
Isuzu in conjunction with Orange Free State FM (OFM Radio Station) in Bloemfontein has launched the “All Roads Lead to NAMPO” campaign which will promote the brand’s participation at NAMPO. Ian and Zinzi, the famous Isuzu TV commercial pals, along with Armando from OFM will travel thousands of kilometres in two branded Isuzu bakkies over the next eight days, taking on various challenges along the way including Moolmans Hoek 4×4 trail as well as some of South Africa’s most potholed roads.
OFM listeners will be given the opportunity to be part of the Isuzu’s NAMPO campaign by participating in the daily competitions and social media updates on the radio station. Listeners will be given clues as to the whereabouts of the team and given the opportunity to phone in and win Isuzu Off Road Academy Vouchers and Cash prizes.
“We will visit a number of towns on our way to NAMPO and we would like to encourage people to visit the team and experience the 6th generation Isuzu KB alongside the Chevrolet Trailblazer,” said Ironside.
