MINI Debuts Electrifying John Cooper Works E Prototype at Goodwood Festival of Speed
The 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, taking place from July 11th to 14th, will host a groundbreaking moment for MINI as it unveils the first electric John Cooper Works E Prototype. This dynamic debut will see the electric powerhouse tackle the iconic Goodwood hillclimb, marking a significant milestone in MINI’s journey towards sustainable mobility.
The John Cooper Works E Prototype, equipped with an advanced electric powertrain, represents MINI’s dedication to blending innovation with its storied heritage. This model’s world premiere later this year will underscore MINI’s commitment to electromobility, setting the stage for a future where the John Cooper Works lineup features both petrol and all-electric models. Throughout the festival, enthusiasts can witness these groundbreaking vehicles up close in the First Glance paddock.

The festival will also showcase MINI’s refreshed lineup, including the new MINI Countryman, MINI Aceman, and the versatile MINI Cooper in both three-door and the newly announced five-door variants. Visitors can find the MINI Cooper Electric on display in Electric Avenue, highlighting MINI’s strides in electric vehicle technology.
A unique attraction at this year’s festival is the MINI Mixed Reality experience, offering visitors an immersive journey through the MINI universe. This 10-minute adventure merges virtual and real worlds, allowing participants to drive a MINI Cooper Electric or a MINI Aceman in a cutting-edge virtual reality setting. This innovative experience will be located at Car Park M, providing festival-goers with a glimpse into the future of driving.
