MINI UK is set to mark a significant milestone at the 2024 Goodwood Revival, celebrating 65 years of automotive excellence with a nostalgic nod to the swinging sixties. The event, taking place from September 6th to 8th, 2024, will feature a unique brand space dubbed “Issi’s Laundrette,” where the all-new fully electric MINI Aceman will take center stage.
The MINI Aceman, a recently unveiled addition to the MINI family, is positioned between the MINI Cooper and the MINI Countryman, embodying a bold new direction for the brand. With its compact yet versatile crossover design, the Aceman blends sleek aesthetics with modern functionality. The vehicle’s interior boasts a minimalist design centered around a state-of-the-art circular OLED infotainment screen, a nod to both the future of automotive technology and MINI’s iconic heritage. With a range of up to 252 miles on a single charge, the Aceman is poised to make its mark on UK roads later this year.
At the Goodwood Revival, visitors can experience the MINI Aceman in a setting inspired by the 1960s, where Issi’s Laundrette will evoke memories of an era defined by vibrant culture and groundbreaking design. The space at Earls Court Motor Show will feature washing machine windows creatively reimagined as interactive displays, celebrating the vehicle’s circular OLED screen. Guests can also visit the ‘Bubble Shop’ to enjoy sweets and sparkling beverages, with half of the proceeds benefiting CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), MINI’s charity partner.
In keeping with the playful laundrette theme, visitors will have the chance to create personalized souvenirs at the ‘Edge Press’ ironing station, which will offer MINI-themed iron-on transfers. Additionally, the ‘Spin and Win’ washing machines will reward lucky guests with a variety of MINI-themed prizes. The laundrette’s decor will also include washing lines draped with the innovative knitted material that replaces traditional leather in the new MINI lineup, highlighting the brand’s commitment to sustainability.
