Munich – MINI has concluded 2025 with a resounding success, achieving a total of 288,290 vehicle deliveries, marking a 17.7% increase over the previous year. Notably, the brand has accelerated its leadership in electrification, delivering over 100,000 fully electric vehicles (BEVs) – meaning every third MINI sold worldwide is now electric. Markets such as the Netherlands, Turkey, Sweden, and China are already seeing electric MINIs represent more than 50% of total sales.
Electrification and Innovation at the Forefront
Jean-Philippe Parain, Head of the MINI brand, said: “MINI continuously increases the share of fully electric vehicles, thereby demonstrating its innovative strength and future orientation. Our strong volume growth across all regions in 2025 clearly reflects the exceptional appeal of the MINI model family. The updated iconic design, sportiness, individuality, and expanded electric offerings have met customer expectations all around the globe.”
Countryman Leads the Charge
The MINI Countryman, the largest model in the portfolio, proved a key growth driver, accounting for 32.4% of total MINI volume. With 93,305 units sold worldwide (+15.2%), the Countryman demonstrates MINI’s SUV expertise, blending iconic driving pleasure with versatile design ideal for adventurous lifestyles. The fully electric Countryman saw an 81.8% sales increase, underlining the strong appetite for electrified MINI models.
John Cooper Works Hits Record Numbers
The John Cooper Works (JCW) performance sub-brand also enjoyed remarkable growth, with 25,630 units sold (+59.5%), setting a new sales record. JCW models now represent 8.9% of MINI’s total volume, with markets such as the UK, Italy, Japan, and Australia seeing their highest-ever sales for these sporty models.
MINI Cooper Family Continues Strong Momentum
The core MINI Cooper family – including the 3-Door, 5-Door, and Convertible – recorded 162,789 units sold (+10.3%). The new MINI Cooper Convertible, launched in 2025, contributed 22,491 units (+18.4%), while the MINI Cooper 5-Door achieved 47,850 units (+26.5%), thanks to its combination of brand-specific driving fun, practicality, and space.
Looking Ahead: MINI Paul Smith Edition
MINI begins 2026 with the Paul Smith Edition, available across the Cooper 3-Door, 5-Door, and Convertible models – both electric and combustion engine variants. Following the success of previous collaborations, the British designer’s signature “Classic with a twist” style once again brings a playful, bold character to the MINI lineup.
With strong sales growth across all regions, record BEV adoption, and continued success for performance and classic models, MINI enters 2026 with momentum, innovation, and style firmly in the driver’s seat.
