Performance exhaust specialist Milltek Sport is set to make a bold statement at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed (10–13 July), unveiling its all-new ROAD+ exhaust system developed specifically for the mighty Land Rover Defender OCTA. With the return of a V8 powertrain to the iconic Defender, Milltek’s engineers have crafted an exhaust system that enhances the vehicle’s aural presence while preserving emission standards – the perfect harmony of performance, sound, and sophistication.
Designed exclusively for the Defender OCTA’s formidable 635hp 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 mild hybrid engine, the new Milltek ROAD+ system features a GPF-back twin 80mm configuration that elevates the SUV’s growl without interfering with emissions compliance. Crucially, the system retains the vehicle’s original valve control mechanism, allowing seamless integration with the OE electronics and ensuring no impact on drivability or emissions performance.
This upgraded system uses larger-than-stock valves and introduces a rear silencer with a reflective acoustic design, purposefully omitting a centre resonator to allow more of the V8’s natural character to shine through. Customers looking to further customise their Defender OCTA can opt for Milltek’s striking GT100 exhaust tips, offered in polished black, brushed titanium, and burnt titanium finishes. Alternatively, the system can retain the OE outer exhaust skins for a more understated appearance.

Kev Hall, Technical Operations Manager at Milltek, expressed enthusiasm for the new release:
“The Defender OCTA has been one of the most exciting engineering challenges we’ve undertaken, and we’re incredibly proud to reveal the outcome of our team’s dedication and expertise. This year marks our 20th anniversary at Goodwood, and we’ve brought our biggest and best line-up yet.”
The new Defender exhaust will take pride of place on the Milltek stand alongside several other cutting-edge developments, including the latest high-performance hybrid exhaust systems for the upcoming BMW M5 G90 and Porsche 992 Carrera. Also on display is the rugged Ineos Grenadier, further reinforcing Milltek’s capabilities across a diverse range of platforms.
In addition to its latest exhaust systems, Milltek’s full range of branded merchandise – from hoodies and caps to wall art and accessories – will be available for purchase throughout the Festival.
All Milltek systems are manufactured from premium T304L stainless steel at the company’s Derbyshire facilities, combining precision craftsmanship with long-lasting durability. Each product is developed with meticulous attention to acoustic tuning, thermal efficiency, and structural integrity.
