Renault-R-Link

Renault chose Michelin for the quality of its content and travel assistance services, as well as for its digital know-how in Europe, in order to offer three new Web services for the connected in-dash Renault R-Link multimedia system.

MICHELIN Guide Restaurants: this application displays the restaurants from the famous MICHELIN guide that are located near the vehicle or its destination, including information such as prices, rating, inspector comments and opening days. The user has continuous access to the information in order to make the best choice.

MICHELIN Guide Hotels: this application displays the hotels from the famous MICHELIN guide that are located near the vehicle or its destination, including information such as prices, rating, inspector comments and opening days. The user has continuous access to the information in order to make the best choice.

MICHELIN Travel: based on content from the MICHELIN Green Guides, this application provides a host of practical information on tourist attractions located near the vehicle or its destination, including pictures, descriptions, prices, Michelin ratings and opening days. Users have access to all the information they need to enhance their travel experience.

Once the user has selected a hotel or restaurant, R-Link lets them book directly via their phone connected by Bluetooth (‘click to call’ function), and then guides them to the right address (‘click to nav’ function).

The ‘click to call’ and ‘click to nav’ functions are very easy to access directly from the Michelin applications.

These three new applications are offered free of charge in the Digital Pack which comes with all Renault vehicles featuring R-Link.

New applications in the Digital Pack

The Digital Pack is the most comprehensive solution allowing you to take full advantage of R-Link’s connected services. For a subscription of €69.90/year (tax-paid price for France), the Digital Pack provides access not only to the three MICHELIN applications, but also to the latest connected services and all applications available at the R-Link store:

Fuel prices: displays information about the price and distance to the 10 nearest service stations, which can be sorted by increasing price or distance. The navigation function guides you directly to the selected service station.

Google Calendar: lets you connect to your Google account to view your monthly and daily calendar.

Find a Renault dealer: lets you find the Renault dealers closest to your position, based on your need, be it vehicle sales, mechanical work, body repairs or Renault Minute.

TomTom Places: this application indicates the points of interest around the vehicle, its destination or in a selected city.

Google task: by connecting to your Google account, this application recovers all tasks that have been created, so you’ll never forget an important one again.

R-Link now offers close to one hundred applications*, all languages and countries combined.

The Digital Pack, including the three Michelin applications, is now available at the Renault R-Link Store.
