MG3 Hybrid+ Secures Major Win at Auto Express New Car Awards
In a remarkable achievement just months after hitting UK showrooms, MG’s all-new hybrid supermini, the MG3 Hybrid+, has clinched its first major accolade at the Auto Express New Car Awards. The MG3 Hybrid+ was named Affordable Hybrid of the Year during a prestigious ceremony in London.
Auto Express Editor Paul Barker praised the vehicle, stating, “The new MG3 Hybrid+ packs a huge amount of punch for such a compact footprint, whether we’re talking about efficiency, price, performance, or ride and refinement. It’s incredibly good value when you look at what you get for the money and is one of the best and most recommendable cars we’ve driven all year.”
The MG3 Hybrid+ also received a Highly Commended rating in the fiercely competitive Supermini of the Year category. David Allison, Head of Product and Planning for MG Motor UK, expressed his delight: “MG always strives to offer customers affordable cars, but it is equally pleasing to hear that the performance and efficiency of the advanced hybrid engine, along with the overall refinement of the MG3, impressed the Auto Express team. It is an excellent start for our all-new supermini.”
Additionally, the MG4 EV continues to garner praise from both experts and customers, earning two Highly Commended results in the Small Company Car of the Year and Affordable Electric Car of the Year awards. To date, the MG4 has amassed over 30 major awards from the UK motoring press.
The groundbreaking MG Cyberster, the world’s first two-seat EV convertible to enter production, also received a Highly Commended recognition in the Convertible of the Year category. The Cyberster is set to be a standout feature at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The Auto Express New Car Awards celebrate the finest vehicles across 25 categories, including the prestigious Car of the Year. The awards emphasize the factors most important to car buyers, highlighting the most impressive cars available across the entire automotive landscape, helping consumers choose the right car for their needs and budget.
