As MG Motor celebrates its centenary, the iconic British brand is set to make a grand statement at Salon Privé 2024. Held at the prestigious Blenheim Palace from August 28th to 31st, this year’s event will feature a stunning display of MG’s latest innovations, led by the debut of the highly anticipated MG Cyber GTS Concept and the thrilling MG Cyberster roadster.
The MG Cyber GTS Concept, making one of its first public appearances, is the embodiment of MG’s rich heritage fused with cutting-edge electric vehicle (EV) technology. This sleek, British Racing Green coupe is a modern homage to the legendary MGC GTS Sebring, a car that achieved MG’s best-ever factory result at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1968. The original MGC GTS Sebring, affectionately known as ‘Mable,’ was driven by motorsport legends Paddy Hopkirk and Andrew Hedges, securing an impressive 10th place overall. The new Cyber GTS Concept captures the spirit of this historic racer, while pushing the boundaries of what an MG can be in the EV era.
Though MG has yet to reveal the full technical details of the Cyber GTS Concept, the anticipation surrounding its potential is palpable. The concept is not just a nod to the past but a bold statement of the brand’s future in high-performance electric vehicles. MG hints that the Cyber GTS Concept could pave the way for a new GTS model in the electric era, building on the success of the MG Cyberster—the world’s first open-top EV two-seater to go into production.

Joining the Cyber GTS Concept at Salon Privé is the MG Cyberster roadster, fresh off its arrival in showrooms earlier this August. This electrifying roadster has already garnered rave reviews for its performance and design, and it promises to be a highlight for visitors to the event. Available in both single motor and dual motor configurations, the Cyberster offers a driving range of up to 316 miles thanks to its 77kWh battery. The dual motor version, the Cyberster GT, delivers a blistering 503bhp, propelling it from 0-62mph in just 3.2 seconds. Remarkably, despite its high performance, the Cyberster remains accessible, with prices starting at just £54,995.
David Bagley, Director of Salon Privé, expressed his enthusiasm for MG’s participation in this year’s event. “MG is a much-loved brand by so many Salon Privé enthusiasts, and I’m delighted we’re able to help continue its 100th anniversary celebrations in the regal grounds of Blenheim Palace. I’m eagerly looking forward to showcasing the fabulous new MG Cyber GTS Concept, one of the first times it will be shown in public since its world debut earlier this summer. It’s great to also showcase the MG Cyberster roadster, which is now arriving in showrooms after receiving rave reviews in the press. I’m certain our guests will enjoy helping continue MG’s 100th anniversary celebrations in style at Salon Privé 2024,” he said.
For those attending Salon Privé, there will also be the exclusive opportunity to test drive the MG Cyberster and the all-new MG HS from Wednesday, August 28th to Friday, August 30th. Test drive slots are limited, so be sure to visit the MG stand early to secure your chance to experience these remarkable vehicles firsthand.
As MG marks 100 years of automotive excellence, its presence at Salon Privé 2024 is a testament to the brand’s enduring legacy and its exciting future. The combination of historic celebration and futuristic innovation promises to make this an unforgettable showcase for MG and automotive enthusiasts alike.
