MG Motor UK is accelerating its commitment to customers and retailers alike with the launch of a cutting-edge warehousing and parts distribution centre in Daventry, Northamptonshire. The new 15,000 m² facility represents a major milestone in the brand’s UK expansion and underscores MG’s focus on efficiency, service excellence, and innovation.
The Northamptonshire hub, which initially employs 40 staff members, will support more than 150 MG retailers across the country, as well as the over 340,000 owners of MG vehicles, including the award-winning MG HS Hybrid+, the popular MG4 EV, and the striking MG Cyberster two-seat electric convertible, designed at MG’s London design studio.
In partnership with XPO Logistics, a leading force in UK and European automotive supply chain solutions, MG Motor UK is set to deliver faster, more reliable service to its growing network. XPO Logistics is recognised for its innovative and sustainable end-to-end logistics solutions, making it a natural partner for a brand that combines performance, style, and forward-thinking technology.
Raising the Standard of Service
Guy Pigounakis, Commercial Director at MG Motor UK, emphasised the impact of the new facility on customer and dealer experiences:
“XPO Logistics is a proven partner, with an excellent record when it comes to supporting major automotive operations. We’ve been impressed by their warehousing and delivery technology solutions and the benefits these will bring to MG customers.”
Pigounakis continued, highlighting the strategic role of the Northamptonshire hub:
“Current and future MG customers will enjoy an even higher standard of service and experience. Our new site marks an important step forward—it will help us deliver to our dealer partners faster, make ordering simpler, and give us the capacity to grow with our customers’ needs. More than just a facility, it represents our commitment to efficiency, quality, and care in everything we do.”
The new distribution centre also complements MG’s historic Longbridge site, providing opportunities to expand skills development and training initiatives for UK automotive talent. Further announcements on this front are expected next spring.
Partnership with a Proven Leader
Dan Myers, Managing Director for XPO Logistics UK and Ireland, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration:
“We have always been successful in the automotive aftermarket arena, and partnering with an iconic British brand like MG, which is now firmly established as one of the UK’s best-selling manufacturers, is proof yet again that we are leading in this space. We’re excited to see what we can achieve together for MG customers over the next few years.”
By combining MG Motor UK’s growing market presence with XPO Logistics’ technological capabilities, the Daventry hub sets a new benchmark for parts distribution and customer service in the automotive sector. It’s a clear statement that MG isn’t just building cars—it’s building a seamless, customer-focused experience that matches the ambition and excitement of its vehicles.
