MG Motor is preparing to make a thunderous impact at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed (10–13 July), unveiling two visionary electric design concepts — the dramatic Cyberster Black and the provocative Cyber X — in what promises to be one of the most exhilarating showcases of the event. Both models will make their eagerly anticipated European debuts on Thursday, 10 July at 11:00am, giving attendees an exclusive first glimpse into MG’s next chapter of electric mobility and bold design.
MG’s presence at Goodwood this year marks a high-octane follow-up to its centenary celebrations at the festival in 2024, and underscores the brand’s renewed commitment to cutting-edge innovation, exhilarating design, and global appeal.
A Double Dose of EV Drama
Taking centre stage is the return of MG’s electrifying roadster, now cloaked in mystery and refinement. The MG Cyberster Black commands attention with its deep, gloss-black exterior finish, elegantly highlighted by contrasting chrome details and an all-black interior that radiates exclusivity and sophistication. With its dramatic scissor doors and low-slung profile, the Cyberster Black is as suited to the red carpet as it is to the open road — a car conceived not just to perform, but to leave a lasting impression.
Beside it stands the bold and compact Cyber X concept — a rugged yet stylish urban EV that dares to redefine MG’s city-bound credentials. Characterised by short overhangs, an assertive stance and futuristic pop-up headlamps, Cyber X embodies a youthful energy and agility that speaks directly to the next generation of urban explorers. Designed under the creative direction of Jozef Kaban, Vice President of SAIC Design, the Cyber X introduces a new frontier for MG’s ‘Cyber’ sub-brand — a future where electric vehicles don’t just blend in, but boldly stand out.
“We’re looking forward to introducing the original Cyber X and elegant Cyberster Black,” Kaban notes. “MG has a tradition of creating emotive cars that stand out from the crowd, and we’re passionate about continuing this work while exploring how we might take the brand in new, unexpected directions.”

Performance on the Hill and More to Explore
MG’s Festival of Speed showcase doesn’t stop with static displays. One of the brand’s upcoming EV models will take to the Goodwood Hillclimb, delivering an electrifying demonstration of its acceleration and dynamic capabilities. Joining it on the legendary incline is the MG EX4, returning with a fresh livery that pays homage to the iconic MG Metro 6R4 rally car — a visual and emotional tribute to the brand’s motorsport heritage reimagined for the electric age.
Visitors will also have the chance to explore two distinct MG zones. The main stand will feature the MG S5 EV, the MG HS SUV, and other core models, while a second MG experience area promises immersive fun and interaction — anchored by the high-performance MG4 EV XPower, a model that continues to redefine expectations of what an affordable EV hot hatch can do.
A Global Brand with Local Excitement
As a brand selling in nearly 120 countries and recording over 240,000 units in European sales during 2024 alone, MG’s growing momentum is undeniable. The Festival of Speed offers the perfect platform to celebrate that global success while laying the foundation for its next century of design leadership and sustainable performance.
MG’s return to Goodwood, as celebrated by the Festival’s founder, The Duke of Richmond CBE DL, is a highlight of the event’s growing commitment to future mobility.
“After officially celebrating their centenary with us in some style last year, MG will return to the Goodwood Festival of Speed with two important, new production models as well as some outstanding concept cars,” he said. “The opportunity to catch a first glimpse of captivating future design and technical innovation is a key part of the Goodwood experience, and MG has so much to offer this year.”
MG at Goodwood 2025 is not just about showcasing the future — it’s about shaping it. With the elegant allure of the Cyberster Black and the bold statement made by Cyber X, MG is proving that its second century will be no less adventurous than the first.
