The entry-level model of the new flagship series is the Mercedes-Benz Viano with AVANTGARDE equipment line. It impresses with a specification which leaves virtually nothing to be desired. Whether you are looking for bi-xenon headlamps, a sports suspension with air-sprung rear axle, electrically operated sliding doors on both sides, and seats, head restraints and side panelling inserts in leather, or even Thermotronic automatic climate control with additional automatic temperature control in the rear – this is where dreams can come true. The new Grand Edition Viano AVANTGARDE takes this exclusive overall package to an even higher level.

The new top-of-the-line model in the versatile Viano range now comes in the guise of the Grand Edition Viano AVANTGARDE, which is the very embodiment of refined sportiness. This is immediately apparent to onlookers thanks to the combination of new “mountain crystal white metallic” paintwork together with the sporty, black-painted radiator grille. On top of this it also comes with eye-catching 19-inch five-spoke light-alloy wheels fitted with 245/45 R 19 tyres.
The interior radiates a sense of solidity with trim elements featuring a “satin-finish burr-walnut look”. The integrated “Grand Edition” badge underscores the special character of this flagship model.

The new Grand Edition Viano AVANTGARDE is available in “compact” and “long” body variants. Buyers can also choose between two powerful yet at the same time economical, low-emission engines: these include the four-cylinder 2.2 CDI with an output of 120 kW (163 hp) and the V6 3.0 CDI producing 165 kW (225 hp), an engine which is unique in this class. Power transmission is taken care of in each case by an automatic transmission.
Prices for the new Grand Edition Viano AVANTGARDE start at €49,780 plus VAT. The top-of-the-line model will be premiered at the Geneva Motor Show from 7 – 17 March.
