Millbrook Healthcare has strengthened its ability to deliver essential community services with the deployment of a new fleet of 136 fully equipped specialist vans, supplied by Mercedes-Benz Vans Dealer Marshall Motor Group Ltd. Designed to support services delivered on behalf of the NHS and local authorities, the vehicles are now in operation across nine UK locations, ensuring vulnerable people continue to receive timely and reliable care.
Operating at the frontline of community health support, Millbrook Healthcare’s teams deliver, install and maintain vital mobility equipment that enables people to live safely and independently at home. Their work ranges from supporting urgent hospital discharges to responding to emergency equipment repairs, a responsibility that becomes particularly critical during the winter months when demand rises sharply. For families and individuals living with disabilities, long-term conditions or undergoing rehabilitation, dependable access to these services can make a profound difference to everyday life.
The new fleet has been carefully specified to meet the organisation’s operational demands. It comprises 102 Mercedes-Benz 315 CDI L3H2 PRO Sprinter Panel Vans, 22 315 CDI L2H2 PRO Sprinter Panel Vans, and 12 110 CDI L1 Citan Panel Vans. Each vehicle has been purpose-built to safely transport specialist equipment, with interiors configured to protect sensitive items while allowing mobility aids to be loaded and unloaded efficiently and securely.
Driver safety and operational efficiency have also been prioritised. The vans are equipped with dash cameras and in-cab driver technology to promote safer driving behaviours, support compliance standards and enable more effective route planning across Millbrook Healthcare’s nationwide operations. Together, these features help maximise uptime and ensure teams can reach service users quickly and reliably.
The partnership extends beyond vehicle supply. Millbrook Healthcare will benefit from three years of full repair and maintenance support through the Mercedes-Benz Vans ServiceCare Complete Plan, covering wear-and-tear repairs and MOT testing. This is complemented by free 24/7 roadside assistance and minor mishap cover under the Mercedes-Benz Vans MobiloVan programme, further reducing downtime and safeguarding continuity of service.
Kevin Downham, Fleet Sales Manager at Marshall Motor Group Ltd, highlighted the strength of the long-standing relationship between the two organisations. Having worked together since 2012, fulfilling Millbrook Healthcare’s largest order to date was a significant milestone. The delivery of more than 120 vans in just three months reflects close collaboration and a shared commitment to supporting essential NHS-linked services.
From a manufacturer perspective, Mercedes-Benz Vans has underlined the importance of dependable, purpose-built vehicles for organisations working at the heart of community care. Sarah Palfreyman, Sales Director of Mercedes-Benz Vans in the UK, noted that Millbrook Healthcare plays a crucial role in enabling people to live independently at home, and that supporting this work through reliable fleet solutions is a source of pride for both the brand and its dealer network.
For Millbrook Healthcare itself, the impact of the new fleet is already being felt on the ground. Service Centre Manager Gary Burnham emphasised the importance of safety, reliability and fit-for-purpose design, all of which are essential when teams are out supporting people who rely on critical equipment every day. With the new vans now in service across Portsmouth, Southampton, Buckinghamshire, Oxford, Berkshire, Lincoln, Brighton, Torbay and Plymouth, the organisation is better equipped than ever to meet growing demand.
This latest deployment underscores the role that well-specified commercial vehicles and comprehensive support packages play in sustaining vital community services. Through strong partnerships and a shared focus on quality and reliability, Mercedes-Benz Vans, Marshall Motor Group and Millbrook Healthcare are helping ensure that essential care reaches those who need it most, when they need it most.
