The new GLA-Class in model car form: Crowd Pleaser for the Display Cabinet
Stuttgart. Now that the GLA-Class has been successfully launched in the markets, the fifth member of the Mercedes-Benz SUV family is set to take its rightful place in model car collectors’ display cabinets. The high-quality, lovingly detailed features of the flexible interior clearly position the GLA as a compact premium SUV.
The 1:18, 1:43 and 1:87-scale miniatures produced in cooperation with Norev, Schuco and Herpa remain true to the original in this area as well. Light-footedly, the original GLA-Class masters all day-to-day challenges and is also robust enough for light off-road excursions. The high-quality model cars have been produced in authentic semblance with the original vehicle’s CAD design data. They also sport original paint finishes and are assembled per hand. The 1:18 scale GLA-Class is available in the genuine paint finishes of polar silver, orient brown and mountain grey MAGNO. Model car specialist Norev hand-assembles the miniature models from over 110 individual parts. Further details of these zinc injection-moulded models (€ 69.90[1]) include panoramic roof, sports seats, automatic transmission, Intelligent Light System (ILS) headlamps, roof rails and 5-twin-spoke wheels in bichromatic finish. The luggage compartment, bonnet and doors can all be opened. All interior details have been reproduced true to the original GLA-Class.
The interior features a high-quality printed finish.
The same comprehensive scope of equipment from A for “automatic” to S for “sports seats” is featured in the 1:43 scale GLA-Class (€ 29.90). This precision model which is hand-assembled by Schuco for Mercedes-Benz consists of over 55 individual parts and is supplied in base-mounted box. South Sea Blue, Jupiter Red and Cirrus White are available as original colours. Also faithfully reproduced to the original vehicle is the zinc injection-moulded interior with pliable components.
The 1:87-scale GLA-Class model car (€ 15.90) is composed of more than 25 individual parts. Herpa produces this precision designed model in plastic by hand. Features include 5-twin-spoke wheels and an authentic interior. The 1:87-scale model is available in Cosmos Black, Mountain Grey MAGNO or Jupiter Red. It also comes in a presentation box mounted on a printed base.
