In Stuttgart, Mercedes-Benz has showcased its dedication to innovation by consistently evolving the EQS along with its electric counterparts. The latest advancements for the EQS, EQE, and their SUV versions have been rapidly introduced, reflecting the brand’s agility in incorporating feedback and market trends. For the 2024 model year, the EQS receives a comprehensive update, marking a significant leap in electric mobility luxury.
The flagship electric model now boasts an impressive enhancement in range, offering up to 82 kilometers additional distance, pushing its limits beyond the 800-kilometer mark due to an expanded battery capacity of 118 kWh. This upgrade underscores the EQS’s reputation as a leader in electric vehicle endurance.
Aesthetically, the EQS sports a revamped radiator cover adorned with chrome accents and an iconic, upright Mercedes star, blending the brand’s electric vehicle aesthetic with its traditional emblem of luxury. This modification not only enriches the vehicle’s exterior appeal but also symbolizes the fusion of innovation with heritage.

Interior refinements mirror the exterior’s elegance, with chrome-framed ventilation nozzles and Nappa leather detailing enhancing the sense of luxury. In response to the increasing demand for rear comfort, the EQS introduces an optional Extended Rear Luxury Lounge Pack. This package features a slanted footrest for the rear passengers, adjustable backrests for expanded personal space, and additional amenities including seat and neck heating, highlighting Mercedes-Benz’s attention to detail and commitment to passenger comfort.
Moreover, the EQS integrates a novel function to maintain the brake system’s efficiency by periodically engaging the brake pads, a feature attributed to the vehicle’s substantial recuperation capability which typically lessens brake disc usage.
The 2024 EQS update exemplifies Mercedes-Benz’s relentless pursuit of excellence in electric mobility, offering unparalleled luxury, performance, and innovation.
