Mercedes-AMG recently introduced the pinnacle of its GT lineup, the GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE, during the Formula 1™ weekend in Shanghai. This top model features an innovative E PERFORMANCE hybrid drive combining a V8 engine and an electric motor, delivering an impressive 600 kW (816 hp). This setup allows the vehicle to achieve a groundbreaking 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in just 2.8 seconds, making it the fastest AMG series model ever.
The GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE is not just about speed; it also comes equipped with advanced technologies such as roll stabilization, all-wheel drive, rear axle steering, and a ceramic high-performance composite brake system. These features provide an unparalleled driving experience that perfectly balances dynamism and comfort, making it a standout in the realm of performance coupés.

At the heart of the AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE is the 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine paired with the AMG Electric Drive Unit, which together produce up to 1,420 Nm of torque. This power is efficiently managed through a sophisticated operating strategy derived from Formula 1™, ensuring that electric power is always available for maximum propulsion.
The vehicle’s high-performance 400-volt battery features a state-of-the-art cooling system that directly cools each cell, enhancing performance, safety, and longevity. This system is inspired by the advanced technologies used in Formula 1™ cars and allows for up to 13 kilometers of purely electric driving.
Driving dynamics are further enhanced by the AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension with semi-active roll stabilization, and the active rear-axle steering which adds agility and stability at different speeds. The car also features AMG DYNAMIC SELECT with eight driving programmes, ranging from “Electric” to “RACE,” allowing drivers to tailor their driving experience to their preferences.
