On Saturday 11 August, World Superbike star Leon Haslam will make a special appearance at Kent’s premier Dainese dealership, Laguna Performance Centre.
Haslam will be visiting the store to meet and greet his fans while the SBK championship is on its annual summer break. So far this season, Haslam has had a string of top-ten finishes aboard his BMW S1000RR race machine and been on the podium five times. The British rider’s highest placed finish was second at Donington Park and he currently lies sixth in the overall championship.
Haslam has been helping Dainese in the development of its airbag system, D-air Racing, which he tested to its extreme last season during a high side at over 150mph. Thanks in no small part to his Dainese protection, he walked away unharmed and was able to race again on the same day.
Leon Haslam: I am really looking forward to the dealer visit, it always means a lot to me to get out and meet the fans. They are so important and definitely keep you going through the season, just knowing that they are behind you every step of the way. Hopefully I will have picked up some more podium finishes, or maybe a win I can celebrate with them.
