The spectacular McLaren Senna with its vibrant Senna Sempre livery will take center stage at McLaren House, McLaren’s dedicated space for the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, held from July 11-14. This remarkable showcase of craftsmanship will be displayed alongside a unique version of the MCL38 Formula 1 car, created to honor Ayrton Senna’s enduring legacy, first revealed at the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix.

Hand-painted by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), this one-of-a-kind tribute to Senna embodies the Brazilian driver’s vibrant personality and relentless pursuit of perfection. Adding to the excitement, Ayrton’s nephew, Bruno Senna, will drive up the Goodwood hillclimb, accompanied by double McLaren Formula 1 World Champion Mika Häkkinen, and McLaren’s inaugural World Champion, Emerson Fittipaldi.

The event will also mark the UK dynamic debut of the new Artura Spider, which will be showcased alongside McLaren’s current lineup and Ultimate Series heritage vehicles. McLaren will celebrate over six decades of motorsport success, demonstrating how its illustrious racing history continues to inspire the creation of cutting-edge supercars.

At the heart of McLaren’s presence, the McLaren Senna with Senna Sempre livery stands as a testament to Ayrton Senna’s legacy. This exclusive McLaren Senna from the heritage collection showcases the exceptional craftsmanship of McLaren Special Operations (MSO).

The 30-year legacy of Ayrton Senna, who won three Formula 1 World Championships with McLaren before his untimely passing in 1994, remains a pivotal milestone within the 2024 Formula 1 calendar. At the Monaco Grand Prix, McLaren unveiled the McLaren Senna with Senna Sempre livery alongside a distinctive livery for the MCL38 Formula 1 cars driven by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. Fans will have the unique opportunity to see both cars together at Goodwood.

Created in association with the Ayrton Senna Institute, the McLaren Senna with Senna Sempre livery is the result of months of meticulous work by MSO’s experienced designers and paint technicians. This tribute combines bright colors representing Ayrton’s dynamic personality with innovative paint techniques and intricate artworks depicting Senna’s illustrious career, including references to his three Formula 1 World Championships and five Monaco Grand Prix victories with McLaren.

Mclaren House To Showcase Senna Sempre Livery At 2024 Goodwood Festival

In addition to this centerpiece, a stunning array of cars will be displayed at McLaren House and showcased on the famous Goodwood hillclimb. A line-up of drivers and representatives from McLaren’s rich Formula 1 history will participate throughout the weekend, both on stage and behind the wheel.

Bruno Senna, former Formula 1 driver and McLaren Automotive brand ambassador, will drive his uncle’s 1991 title-winning McLaren MP4/6 – the only championship-winning Formula 1 car powered by a V12 engine and the last to use a manual gearbox. Ayrton Senna drove this car to seven Grand Prix victories, securing his third and final Formula 1 title.

Double McLaren Formula 1 World Champion Mika Häkkinen will perform a demonstration run in the remarkable Solus GT on Saturday. One of 25 customer cars from the Solus GT program, this bespoke commission, bearing Häkkinen’s name, features a livery matching the McLaren MP4/13 that Häkkinen drove to the Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championship in 1998. An MSO technician who painted the original racing car has overseen the recreation of the livery on the lightweight, aerodynamically advanced Solus GT, ensuring the paint colors match the aging process of the original Formula 1 car’s bodywork.

The Solus GT returns to Goodwood following its Timed Shootout victory at the 2023 event, where McLaren Factory Driver Marvin Kirchhöfer achieved a top time of 45.342 seconds during the car’s global dynamic debut.

2024 marks the 50th anniversary of McLaren’s first Formula 1 World Championship victories, where the team secured both the World Drivers’ and Constructors’ titles in 1974 with Emerson Fittipaldi and the McLaren M23. To celebrate this milestone, the double World Champion will drive his 1974 title-winning car, while the 1974 Indy 500 winning M16C/D will be displayed in the McLaren garage in the Formula 1 paddock, honoring Johnny Rutherford’s achievement in securing the first leg of the prestigious ‘Triple Crown of Motorsport’ for McLaren.

McLaren’s first-ever High-Performance Hybrid convertible supercar, the Artura Spider, will make its UK dynamic debut, joined on the hill by the 750S, McLaren’s lightest and most powerful series production supercar, the new McLaren GTS, and Ultimate Series vehicles from McLaren’s heritage collection, including a McLaren Senna and a McLaren P1.

“This year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed will see McLaren deliver another milestone event that will delight our fans and bring to life our immense racing heritage through the cars that have achieved race wins and championships, and the drivers who piloted them. These iconic cars and incredible drivers continue to inspire us to deliver supercars that push the boundaries of performance on road and track,” said Michael Leiters, Chief Executive Officer, McLaren Automotive.
