In a spectacular evening event in the heart of London, McLaren Automotive introduced the new Artura Spider, its latest high-performance hybrid convertible. The exclusive launch, attended by media personalities and McLaren customers, took place at the prestigious Outernet venue, recognized as London’s most visited tourist attraction by The Times in 2023.

The glamorous event featured giant LED screens displaying captivating films of the Artura Spider, creating an immersive experience for guests arriving at Tottenham Court Road. McLaren Automotive’s CEO Michael Leiters and EMEA Regional Director Brett Soso, alongside other executives, hosted 120 distinguished guests, including singer Sam Ryder, rapper Tinie Tempah, internet sensation Francis Bourgeois, former Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore, and Soul II Soul founder Jazzie B.

The new Artura Spider boasts significant upgrades over its predecessor, enhancing power, performance, and driver engagement. As the lightest convertible supercar in its class, weighing just 1,457 kg*, the Artura Spider holds a weight advantage of up to 83 kg over its competitors. Its high-performance hybrid powertrain delivers an impressive 700 PS, resulting in a remarkable power-to-weight ratio of 480 PS/tonne. This translates to breathtaking performance with a top speed of 330 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds.

The introduction of the convertible Spider adds a thrilling new dimension to the driving experience of this extraordinary car.”

The event also marked the debut of the enhanced Artura coupe, which shares the same performance upgrades as the Spider, further solidifying its status as a next-generation supercar.
