The Mazda MX-30 battery electric compact SUV stands out as a stylish, premium, and driver-oriented electric vehicle, now offering greater value thanks to new competitive pricing and a financing campaign. This campaign allows for payments under £200 a month on a 0% APR PCP with a significant £6,000 deposit contribution.
Since its 2021 debut, the MX-30’s availability in the UK was constrained by production limits. However, with increased production, Mazda UK has launched attractive offers for 2024, making the MX-30 a more appealing choice for those looking for a secondary vehicle or a city commuter.
The entry-level MX-30 Prime-Line is now priced at £27,995, with the Exclusive-Line and Makoto models at £29,995 and £32,395, respectively. These prices reflect a saving of over £3,000 across the range compared to prices at the year’s start. Additionally, buyers of the MX-30 BEV will receive a complimentary pod-point home charger, enhancing the vehicle’s convenience for shorter trips that dominate UK driving patterns.
Jeremy Thomson, Managing Director of Mazda Motors UK, highlights the MX-30’s attractive blend of affordability, enjoyable handling, distinct design, and superior interior quality. He notes that the MX-30, with its compact battery, is ideal for buyers prioritizing actual usage over maximum range. Mazda’s research shows the average daily car travel in the UK is 26 miles, making the MX-30 with a home charger a perfect fit for many drivers.

The MX-30 lineup includes three models – Prime-Line, Exclusive-Line, and Makoto – all featuring comprehensive standard equipment such as LED headlights, a reversing camera, Mazda Radar Cruise Control, navigation, and a head-up display. Rapid charging capabilities enable a charge from 20 to 80 percent in just 36 minutes.
Each model in the MX-30 range offers unique features and design elements, from 18-inch alloy wheels and color options in the Prime-Line to advanced interior and safety features in the Makoto. The vehicle’s cabin combines quality materials, sustainable design elements, and a driver-centric layout. The MX-30’s design incorporates Mazda’s Kodo design language, emphasizing the vehicle’s solid mass and spacious cabin through unique freestyle doors and a glasshouse frame.
The MX-30 is designed to embody Mazda’s “Jinbai Ittai – car and driver as one” philosophy, with a focus on intuitive handling, natural feedback, and an engaging driving experience. The inclusion of Electric G-Vectoring Control Plus and a tailored Skyactiv-Vehicle Architecture ensures a harmonious blend of smooth power delivery and dynamic handling.
The MX-30 range also includes the R-EV plug-in hybrid model, now more accessible due to price reductions, starting from £31,495 with a financing offer and a half-price home charger for retail customers. Laura Brailey, Sales Director at Mazda UK, emphasizes the MX-30’s appeal, offering low monthly payments, affordable running costs, and a design focused on driver engagement, with options available to suit a broad range of customer needs.
