Mazda is set to redefine the compact SUV experience with the all-new Mazda CX-5, arriving in UK showrooms in spring 2026. For the first time, the iconic model will feature Mazda’s cutting-edge E/E Architecture+ (EEA+) and offer Google built-in across all grades, signalling a bold step into the future of connected, software-defined vehicles.

A New Era of Connectivity and Control

At the heart of the all-new CX-5 lies Mazda EEA+, the brand’s next-generation electrical and electronic architecture. This advanced platform seamlessly integrates electronic control units, software layers, communication networks, and external servers, forming the foundation for over-the-air (OTA) updates, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and Mazda’s future Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs).

Central to this transformation is a reimagined human-machine interface (HMI) designed to prioritise safety, simplicity, and driver focus. The all-new CX-5 features a strong horizontal cockpit layout with a choice of 12.9- or 15.6-inch integrated touch displays. These displays allow smartphone-style interactions while essential functions remain accessible via physical buttons, minimising cognitive load and visual distraction. Every model also comes with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a larger head-up display, keeping key information within easy sight.

Intuitive Control at Your Fingertips

Mazda’s innovative HMI extends to capacitive haptic steering wheel switches, allowing drivers to control functions like the 360-degree view camera and Mi-Drive without removing hands from the wheel. High-precision voice recognition further enhances safety, enabling natural, conversational commands for climate control, navigation, and more.

With Google built-in as standard, the all-new CX-5 brings Google Assistant to the cabin for intuitive voice interaction. Future updates will introduce Google Gemini, the AI assistant from Google, providing smarter, conversational control over in-car systems. Complementing this digital ecosystem, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto™, the MyMazda app, and an available 12-speaker Bose® premium audio system elevate the in-car experience to new heights.

Japanese Craftsmanship Meets Advanced Technology

Mazda’s commitment to Japanese design principles is evident throughout the all-new CX-5. The interior offers a calm, spacious atmosphere with refined materials, while the exterior builds on Mazda’s Kodo design language, delivering a confident stance and improved proportions. Under the bonnet, the SUV is powered by a 2.5-litre e-Skyactiv G petrol engine with Mazda M Hybrid technology, combining performance with efficiency.

Arrival in the UK

The all-new Mazda CX-5 will arrive in the UK in spring 2026, with detailed specifications and pricing set to be announced early next year. Combining advanced technology, intuitive control, and Mazda’s signature craftsmanship, the new CX-5 promises to set a new benchmark in the compact SUV segment.
