Mazda is set to bring a fresh wave of refinement and innovation to its flagship SUV line-up with the 2026 model year updates for the CX-60 and CX-80. Arriving in UK dealerships next summer, the enhancements reinforce Mazda’s position in the premium SUV segment, combining elegant design, advanced technology, and heightened safety.
While the exterior styling remains unmistakably Mazda, Exclusive-Line models now feature striking new 20-inch alloy wheels—metallic silver on the CX-60 and bright silver on the CX-80—replacing the outgoing 18-inch option. Both ranges also welcome the addition of Mazda’s popular Polymetal Grey paint, giving customers another sophisticated choice.
Inside, the 2026 CX-60 and CX-80 deliver an elevated sense of luxury, with high-quality materials including real maple wood, Nappa leather, and traditional Japanese textiles. The Homura and Homura Plus variants introduce a stylish tan interior with quilted Nappa leather seats, a two-tone leather steering wheel, and a suede-look dashboard. Across all grades, front door noise-insulating glass improves cabin refinement, ensuring every journey is calm and composed.
Safety continues to be a standout feature. Reinforcing their Euro NCAP 5-star rating, all 2026 CX-60 and CX-80 models now include Driver Emergency Assist (DEA). Paired with the Driver Monitoring system, DEA can detect sudden medical emergencies, automatically slow the vehicle, bring it to a safe stop, and unlock the doors to facilitate rapid emergency access.
The CX-60 also benefits from an expanded suite of safety technologies previously exclusive to the CX-80. Standard features now include Driver Monitoring, Smart Brake Support Head-on collision mitigation, and Emergency Lane Keeping Head-on Traffic Avoidance Assist. Exclusive-Line models gain additional protections such as Smart Brake Support Front Crossing with Front Cross Traffic Alert, Front Cross Traffic Braking, and the Towing Hitch Guide function. Optional enhancements include Cruising & Traffic Support with Unresponsive Driver Support and Smart Brake Support Rear Crossing.
Convenience is boosted with the introduction of Amazon Alexa in-car voice recognition, enabling intuitive voice control for navigation, entertainment, and connected features. The CX-60 also offers a hybrid navigation system with alternative route calculations, point-of-interest searches, and seven years of free map updates.
Sustainability remains a priority. Both CX-60 and CX-80 diesel engines now meet Euro6e-bis emission standards and are approved for use with Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil 100 (HVO 100) fuel, reflecting Mazda’s commitment to cleaner, renewable energy options.
With these comprehensive upgrades, the 2026 Mazda CX-60 and CX-80 reaffirm Mazda’s dedication to delivering sophisticated SUVs that harmoniously blend performance, comfort, and refined style, solidifying their position as true flagships in the premium segment.
