Unleashing Power: The New Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+
Mercedes-AMG has unveiled the latest addition to the AMG GT family at the Goodwood Festival of Speed – the new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+. With an impressive 450 kW (612 hp) output from a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine, this model promises an exhilarating start and exceptional driving dynamics, appealing to car enthusiasts and racers alike.
Power and Performance
The 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine in the GT 63 PRO produces 450 kW (612 hp), a 20 kW (27 hp) increase over the AMG GT 63. Torque has also been boosted by 50 Nm to 850 Nm, ensuring superior acceleration. The GT 63 PRO accelerates from 0 to 200 km/h in just 10.9 seconds, half a second faster than its predecessor, and reaches a top speed of 317 km/h.
Optimised Cooling and Aerodynamics
To handle the increased performance, the cooling system has been extensively upgraded. Two new radiators positioned in the front wheel arches enhance the cooling capacity, ensuring optimal performance under high loads. Active cooling elements and additional air inlets further improve heat dissipation.
Aerodynamic enhancements include a redesigned front apron with additional carbon fibre air deflectors, an active aerodynamic profile in the underbody, and the AIRPANEL active air control system. These modifications reduce aerodynamic lift by over 30 kilograms on the front axle, improving steering precision. The rear wing concept increases downforce on the rear axle by around 15 kilograms, enhancing stability at high speeds.
Superior Braking and Handling
The AMG GT 63 PRO features a high-performance ceramic composite brake system with six-piston fixed callipers at the front and one-piston floating callipers at the rear, equipped with 420-millimetre brake discs. These are the largest standard ceramic brake discs available from Mercedes-AMG, offering exceptional durability, fade resistance, and spontaneous response behavior.
The car rides on lightweight AMG Performance 21-inch forged wheels in a cross-spoke design, painted exclusively in Himalaya grey. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tyres provide superior grip, with sizes 295/30 ZR 21 at the front and 305/30 ZR 21 at the rear.

Motorsport-Inspired Design
The AMG Exterior Carbon Fibre package includes a front splitter, trim strips in the side sills, diffuser, and rear wing, all crafted from high-quality carbon fibre. Black-painted brake callipers, AMG Performance seats with high lateral support, and an AMG Performance steering wheel in Nappa leather/MICROCUT microfibre complete the motorsport-inspired look.
High-Tech Features for Everyday Use
Despite its track-focused performance, the AMG GT 63 PRO offers the same advantages as other AMG GT models, including improved everyday usability. The second-generation AMG GT provides ample space and excellent visibility, with an optional 2+2 seating configuration (UK specification TBC). Advanced features such as AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension with active roll stabilisation, rear-axle steering, and fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive ensure a comfortable and dynamic driving experience.
