In a grand celebration of Italian craftsmanship and automotive innovation, Maserati made its highly anticipated debut at the 2024 Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille. This prestigious event, held from September 12 to 15 in the historic Domaine du Château de Chantilly, has, since its inception in 2014, become a pinnacle for showcasing the fusion of automotive excellence and haute couture. Maserati’s participation marked a monumental moment, with the unveiling of the one-of-a-kind Maserati GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello, a symbol of luxury, tradition, and forward-thinking design.
The Maserati GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello represents the very essence of the Maserati Fuoriserie customisation programme, where craftsmanship and personalisation reign supreme. This 100% electric luxury cabriolet is more than just a car; it is a tribute to Italian heritage, drawing inspiration from the legacy of Marchesi Antinori’s world-renowned wines. As one of Italy’s oldest and most esteemed winemaking families, Marchesi Antinori shares Maserati’s values of innovation and deep-rooted tradition, making this collaboration a true celebration of Italian excellence.
The GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello was first unveiled to the public in July at the Festival Napa Valley in California, before crossing the Atlantic to make its European debut at Chantilly. This special edition vehicle commemorates the 50th anniversary of Tignanello wine, blending the elegance of Maserati’s design with the powerful character of one of Italy’s most famous wines. The car had already made waves in the U.S., where it was auctioned at the 2024 Arts for All Gala, a prominent charity event supporting arts and education.

Set against the backdrop of Chantilly’s majestic estate, the GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello captivated an audience of automotive connoisseurs and enthusiasts. The car’s sleek, sculpted lines and luxurious detailing stood as a testament to Maserati’s commitment to bespoke design, epitomising the brand’s ability to blend tradition with modernity. The collaboration with Marchesi Antinori further reinforced the car’s exclusive status, positioning it as a perfect representation of Maserati’s Italian luxury identity.
Guests of Maserati and attendees of the Chantilly event were treated to an array of unique experiences. The Trident marque partnered with Giorgetti, the renowned Italian design house, to create Terrazza Italiana, an elegant lounge space outfitted with Giorgetti’s outdoor collection. Here, the GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello was prominently displayed, sharing the spotlight with a curated selection of classic and contemporary luxury cars from other esteemed brands.
A highlight of Maserati’s presence at Chantilly was the exclusive test drive sessions, where select journalists and guests had the opportunity to experience the latest models in the Maserati range. Among the cars available were the GranTurismo and GranCabrio Trofeo and Folgore, MC20 Cielo, and the Grecale Folgore. Maserati also arranged a special wine tasting event, where guests enjoyed the expertise of Marchesi Antinori’s master sommeliers, further intertwining the worlds of automotive luxury and fine Italian wine.
The pinnacle of the Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille was the Concours d’Etat, which gathered 100 of the most extraordinary classic cars from around the globe, competing for the admiration of collectors and experts. Several vintage Maseratis, including the A6G54 models by Frua and Zagato, the Maserati 5000GT, and a Quattroporte, were among the stunning entries, showcasing the brand’s legacy of excellence in design and engineering.
Reflecting on Maserati’s participation at the event, Giovanni Perosino, Chief Marketing & Communication Officer, highlighted the significance of the GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello: “This car is the epitome of Maserati’s bespoke production and luxury image. Inspired by tradition and innovation, it represents the best of Italian craftsmanship, creativity, and the desire to push boundaries. The GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello is a perfect illustration of our brand’s DNA and a symbol of our ongoing commitment to shaping the future of automotive luxury.”
Maserati’s debut at Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille was not just a showcase of their latest innovations but a celebration of the brand’s enduring legacy and forward-thinking vision. The GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello, with its seamless blend of tradition, artistry, and cutting-edge technology, stood as a testament to Maserati’s dedication to redefining Italian luxury on a global stage.
