In the heart of Stresa, set against the stunning backdrop of Lake Maggiore, Maserati recently celebrated a milestone in its illustrious history. On July 31, 2024, two extraordinary vehicles were delivered to a distinguished Trident enthusiast in the US, marking a momentous occasion in the world of luxury automotive craftsmanship. These two custom-built Maseratis not only symbolize the pinnacle of the brand’s bespoke offerings but also embody the culmination of an era in Maserati’s storied legacy.
The End of an Era: Maserati Quattroporte Grand Finale
The Quattroporte Grand Finale represents the last chapter of Maserati’s venerable Quattroporte lineage and signifies the final model featuring the iconic V8 combustion engine. This farewell edition, aptly named the “Grand Finale,” is a tribute to the six generations of the Quattroporte that have defined luxury and performance in the executive sedan segment.
Design and Features
The Quattroporte Grand Finale boasts a distinctive Blu Nobile exterior, accentuated by a carbon fibre body kit painted to match the car’s elegant hue. The brake calipers are finished in brushed aluminium, adding a touch of sophistication to its imposing stance. Beneath the hood lies the powerful 572-hp V8 engine, offering an exhilarating driving experience that is quintessentially Maserati.
Inside, the cabin is a testament to Italian artisanship, featuring bespoke elements tailored to the customer’s specifications. The steering wheel is adorned with burl accents, while the door panels are dressed in tan leather. The A-pillar is lined with black leather, and the headrests are embroidered with the Trident logo in black stitching. A unique ‘Grand Finale’ badge on the central tunnel and a custom cover imprinted with the signatures of the Fuoriserie team add a personal touch to this final Quattroporte.
The final Quattroporte Maserati is marked with a distinctive identification number: 999999, highlighting its status as the last of its kind. This limited-edition model is not just a vehicle but a piece of automotive history, celebrating the enduring excellence of Maserati.

A New Era Begins: Maserati MC20 Iris
Contrasting the farewell of the Quattroporte is the introduction of the MC20 Iris, a striking example of Maserati’s future-forward vision. Named after the Latin word for “rainbow,” the MC20 Iris showcases a vivid spectrum of colours, reflecting both the customer’s preferences and Maserati’s commitment to innovation.
Design and Features
The MC20 Iris is distinguished by its AI Aqua Rainbow exterior, a vibrant colour that defines its futuristic aesthetic. This hue is complemented by a matching Trident emblem on the hubcaps, reinforcing the car’s unique character. Inside, the AI Aqua Rainbow theme continues with intricate stitching on the armrests, central tunnel, and steering wheel, all crafted from ICE leather—a first for Maserati.
The steering wheel paddles and viewfinder on the steering wheel rim are also finished in the same eye-catching colour, diverging from the traditional white. The door sills feature laser-cut ‘MC20 Iris’ lettering, while the engine compartment and boot echo the AI Aqua Rainbow theme, making the MC20 Iris a distinctive presence on the road.
Maserati’s engineers have infused the MC20 Iris with a meticulous attention to detail, combining the brand’s traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge elements. This super sports car is a testament to Maserati’s ability to blend past heritage with future innovation, creating a vehicle that is as unique as it is thrilling.
The delivery of the Quattroporte Grand Finale and MC20 Iris marks a significant moment in Maserati’s history, representing both a respectful nod to the past and an enthusiastic embrace of the future. These bespoke creations not only reflect the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship and customization but also highlight Maserati’s ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence. As these two masterpieces take their place in the annals of automotive history, they continue to define the essence of Maserati’s legacy and its future.
