Modena has once again become the launchpad for Maserati’s competitive intent in global motorsport, as the Trident brand confirms its return as Official Supplier to the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS for the 2026 season. The renewed collaboration with SRO Motorsports Group follows a successful 2025 debut in which Maserati first stepped into the role with both Safety Car and Leading Car responsibilities, strengthening a partnership rooted in shared racing heritage and a mutual commitment to performance at the highest level of closed-wheel competition.

For 2026, Maserati continues to place its most advanced engineering on the world stage with the GT2 Stradale serving once again as the official Safety Car of the championship. Closely derived from the brand’s GT2 racing programme, the road-legal Stradale returns with the unmistakable presence of the V6 Nettuno engine, delivering acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 324 km/h. Its role is more than ceremonial; it is a rolling demonstration of how racing technology translates directly into controlled, real-world performance.

New for this season, Maserati introduces the MCPura as the official Leading Car, marking its debut in this high-visibility role. Together, the two vehicles define the visual and dynamic identity of the 2026 championship support fleet. Both cars feature bespoke liveries created specifically for the season, presented in the brand’s signature blue and white. The Leading Car adopts a white base with a bold blue Trident across the bonnet, while the Safety Car reverses the palette with a deep blue body accented by white detailing. The design language draws inspiration from Maserati’s Master Maserati driving experience programme, linking track presence with the brand’s customer performance experiences.

This continuity of collaboration underlines the strength of Maserati’s relationship with SRO Motorsports Group, a connection that not only builds on last season’s success but also echoes a deeper motorsport legacy that includes icons such as the MC12 and the modern GT2 programme. The brand’s presence across the championship continues to reinforce its position as both a heritage manufacturer and an active participant in contemporary GT racing culture.

Vincent Biard, Head of Maserati Corse, emphasised that the renewed appointment reflects the brand’s core philosophy of “from the road to the track and back,” highlighting how the GT2 Stradale and MCPura embody the performance, technology and identity of Maserati’s current engineering vision. He also pointed to the continued expansion of Maserati’s GT racing activities, including participation in the GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli and engagement with the SRO GT Academy initiative, as part of a broader competitive strategy.

SRO Motorsports Group Founder and CEO Stéphane Ratel welcomed the continuation of the partnership, noting Maserati’s alignment with the values of speed, style and engineering excellence that define the GT World Challenge Europe. He also expressed anticipation for the MCPura’s debut as Leading Car at Circuit Paul Ricard, where the 2026 season begins.

The 2026 GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS calendar spans a demanding and iconic sequence of circuits, beginning at Circuit Paul Ricard in France on 11–12 April, followed by Brands Hatch in the United Kingdom on 2–3 May, the Monza round in Italy on 29–31 May, Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium for the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa on 24–28 June, Misano in Italy on 17–19 July, Magny-Cours in France on 31 July–2 August, Nürburgring in Germany on 28–30 August, Zandvoort in the Netherlands on 18–20 September, Barcelona in Spain on 2–4 October, and concluding at Portimão in Portugal on 16–18 October.

Parallel to this, the GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli will run across Monza on 30–31 May, Spa Speedweek on 20–21 June, Misano on 18–19 July, Zandvoort on 19–20 September, and Portimão on 17–18 October, reinforcing a tightly woven European racing ecosystem that continues to grow in scale and competitiveness.

Beyond the track, Maserati continues to position itself as a benchmark in luxury performance mobility, with a portfolio spanning the Grecale SUV, GranTurismo, GranCabrio, and the electrified Folgore range, alongside its MC family and the GT2 Stradale. Through its Fuoriserie personalisation programme, Classiche heritage initiatives, and the dedicated Corse motorsport division, the brand maintains a cohesive identity that links craftsmanship, innovation and competition in a single continuous narrative.
