Modena, January 27, 2026 – Maserati’s latest masterpiece, the MCPURA, has captured the hearts of automotive enthusiasts, securing the prestigious “Dream Car” award in Quattroruote magazine’s annual readers’ poll. Garnering an impressive 50% of the votes, the MCPURA has emerged as the undisputed star of the competition, reaffirming Maserati’s reputation for creating super sports cars that blend innovation, performance, and Italian elegance.
Since 2000, Quattroruote’s readers’ poll has been a benchmark for automotive excellence. In 2022, the competition introduced three special awards—Concept, Dream, and Lifestyle—with a fourth category, Volt, added in 2025 to honour fully electric vehicles. Each category features four cars selected by the Quattroruote editorial team, with readers invited to vote via the magazine’s website and Instagram Stories. In this year’s edition, the MCPURA dominated the Dream Car category, a testament to its charisma, visionary design, and technological prowess.
The MCPURA represents a bold step forward in the evolution of super sports cars. Available as both a coupé and a convertible, it pushes the boundaries of performance and exclusivity. Four standout features define its uniqueness: a carbon fiber monocoque, the 630-hp Nettuno V6 engine with patented pre-chamber technology, signature “Butterfly” doors, and, for the Cielo convertible version, a retractable electrochromic glass roof. The lightweight yet rigid carbon fiber monocoque keeps the car’s overall weight under 1,500 kg, giving the MCPURA an outstanding weight-to-power ratio of 2.33 kg/hp. This combination of agility, power, and refinement sets a new standard in the super sports car segment.
Maserati has also crafted a striking color palette for the MCPURA, blending tradition and innovation. Among the highlights are AI Aqua Rainbow, a shimmering blue that transforms in sunlight to reveal a rainbow effect; Devil Orange, radiating energy and boldness; and Night Interaction, a sophisticated, luxurious shade befitting the brand’s flagship supercar. Beyond these signature hues, the Maserati Fuoriserie Program allows customers to personalize their MCPURA with over thirty bodywork shades—including solid, metallic, tri-coat, quad-coat, or matte finishes—ensuring that every vehicle is a bespoke creation.
Santo Ficili, Maserati COO, expressed his gratitude for the recognition: “This award holds special significance because it comes directly from Quattroruote readers – true automotive enthusiasts and experts. I want to extend my most sincere thanks to them for recognising the vision behind MCPURA. I also wish to express my deepest gratitude to the women and men of Maserati’s historic Modena plant, who, with skill and pride, bring extraordinary cars to life every day. It is thanks to their work that Maserati continues to represent excellence in Made in Italy around the world.”
The MCPURA is more than a super sports car—it is a celebration of Maserati’s legacy, craftsmanship, and relentless pursuit of performance. With its combination of groundbreaking engineering, daring design, and bespoke personalization, it embodies the spirit of the Trident in its purest form. In claiming the Dream Car award, the MCPURA has not only captured the imagination of enthusiasts but has also set a new benchmark for the future of Italian supercars.
