Modena, 9 April 2025 – In a city humming with creative energy during Milan Design Week, Maserati has once again taken centre stage – this time not on a racetrack, but in the heart of the fashion and design capital. Nestled within the prestigious MonteNapoleone District, the storied LARUSMIANI Boutique has opened its doors to the House of the Trident for a striking preview of FuoriConcorso 2025 – an exclusive automotive culture event set for 24–25 May along the majestic shores of Lake Como.
This unique collaboration is a meeting of minds and marques: Maserati and LARUSMIANI – both synonymous with timeless Italian luxury and craftsmanship – united in a mutual passion for design excellence and cultural heritage. With over a century of sartorial mastery behind it, LARUSMIANI offers the perfect backdrop at Via Pietro Verri, 10, for Maserati’s bold expression of performance-driven artistry.
At the centre of attention is a gleaming red jewel of motorsport history: the Maserati 200S. A rare racing prototype born between 1955 and 1957, it stands as a symbol of Maserati’s golden age of competition. First produced in April 1956 with elegant sports bodywork by Fiandri, this 200S model once roared through circuits piloted by racing figures such as Gilberto Cornacchia – the son of Milan’s Maserati dealer at the time – and the spirited Neapolitan driver Mennato Boffa. Its heart is a 1,993 cc in-line four-cylinder engine, derived from the 150S, enhanced with dual Weber 45 DCO3 carburettors to deliver an exhilarating 190 CV at 7,400 rpm.

Following its retirement from racing in 1960, the 200S found sanctuary at Maserati’s Modena facilities, where it remained untouched until 1999. That year marked its transition to the Panini Collection and, shortly thereafter, to its current owner, who undertook a meticulous restoration to revive its original glory. Today, it returns to the spotlight, not merely as a vehicle, but as a rolling sculpture of speed, soul, and Italian ingenuity.
Yet Maserati’s presence in Milan isn’t just about looking back—it’s equally focused on shaping the future. In collaboration with the revered furniture house Giorgetti, the brand presents an immersive exploration of innovation and Italian savoir-faire. This partnership has given rise to two inspired creations: an exclusive interior design collection and a Grecale one-off, born from the Maserati Fuoriserie customisation programme. Each is a testament to the seamless harmony between style and technology, bespoke craftsmanship and modern luxury.
Together, these creations form a narrative that bridges eras and disciplines—from classic coachbuilding to contemporary interiors—anchored by a shared devotion to excellence. Maserati’s exhibition at Milan Design Week 2025 is not simply a showcase; it’s a manifesto of the brand’s evolving identity, where racing heritage, aesthetic expression, and future-facing design coalesce.
As FuoriConcorso 2025 draws nearer, this preview at LARUSMIANI sets the tone for what promises to be an unforgettable celebration of automotive culture. Maserati, ever the icon of performance and elegance, reminds the world once again that true luxury lies not just in what is made, but in how it’s made—and the stories it carries forward.
