Modena, 20 February 2025 – After making a spectacular debut at Monterey Car Week in California on 16 August 2024, the Maserati GT2 Stradale is finally ready to grace European roads. The eagerly awaited road-legal version of the Maserati GT2, which marks the House of the Trident’s bold return to racing, will officially hit the market in April. To celebrate this momentous occasion, Maserati hosted an exclusive driving experience in the captivating region of Andalusia, offering guests a rare opportunity to explore the dual nature of this exceptional super sports car, both on winding country roads and on the track.
From the glamorous city of Marbella, the route took guests through the breathtaking curves of the Parque Nacional Sierra de las Nieves before arriving at the renowned Ascari circuit, near Ronda. Ascari, named after the legendary Italian Formula 1 world champion Alberto Ascari—who also raced for Maserati—was the perfect backdrop for the GT2 Stradale’s performance. The 5.4-kilometre track embodies the brand’s racing heritage, providing the ideal stage to experience the car’s potent performance capabilities.
A Legacy of Speed and Precision
Maserati’s commitment to motorsport runs deep, and the launch of the GT2 Stradale signifies the brand’s return to its roots. When Maserati embarked on the development of the MC20—its halo car, marking a new era of innovation—it was always with the intention of returning to the racetrack. The Maserati GT2, born out of this philosophy, quickly found success, taking Maserati back to the podium in the Fanatec GT2 European Series championship.
The GT2 Stradale represents the pinnacle of Maserati’s sporting legacy, a car that seamlessly blends the extreme performance of the track with the luxury and comfort expected of a road-going super sports car. With a top speed of 324 km/h and an output of 640 horsepower (471 kW)—10 horsepower more than the MC20—the GT2 Stradale is the most agile rear-wheel-drive car in its category, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds.
The Fusion of Racing and Road Elegance
While the GT2 Stradale’s heart is firmly rooted in racing, its refinement makes it a perfect companion on the open road. The car’s aggressive yet elegant lines speak to Maserati’s dual identity, and it’s clear that every detail has been meticulously crafted to balance the raw, unbridled performance of the racetrack with the comfort and luxury synonymous with the Trident brand.
The driving experience in Andalusia showcased this fusion of worlds. Guests had the chance to test the GT2 Stradale’s dynamic prowess on a variety of terrains, demonstrating its ability to transition effortlessly from the sharp demands of the track to the comfort of a road trip. The car’s bespoke customisation options, available through Maserati’s Fuoriserie programme, allowed owners to personalise their vehicles, with special liveries displayed in the pit lanes of the Ascari circuit. One of the lanes was even dedicated to Maserati’s storied motorsport history, with the GT2 forerunner on display as a tribute to the brand’s racing achievements.

Made in Modena, Made for Exclusivity
At the heart of the Maserati GT2 Stradale is the essence of Modena—its heritage, craftsmanship, and passion. Santo Ficili, Maserati CEO, expressed the brand’s vision: “From the road to the track and back again: moving from the racing GT2 to its road version was a natural step, to epitomise our brand’s performance. With the road debut of what is the pinnacle of our super sports cars, we have created a perfect platform for the customers of this car, which has also been lauded by the media. GT2 Stradale is 100% made in Modena, a mix of Maserati’s two iconic worlds, those of elegance and racing. It is the upshot of the passion, dedication and pride of all the women and men at the House of the Trident.”
The GT2 Stradale is an exclusive model, with production limited to just 914 units—a nod to Maserati’s founding year, 1914. Each vehicle will be individually numbered, bearing the distinctive “1 of 914” badge, ensuring its rarity and exclusivity.
A New Era for Maserati
The Maserati GT2 Stradale is not just another sports car—it is a symbol of Maserati’s rebirth in the world of motorsport and its continued commitment to crafting automobiles that push the boundaries of performance and luxury. For the discerning few who will own one of these 914 masterpieces, the GT2 Stradale promises an unparalleled driving experience that perfectly marries the thrill of the track with the elegance of the road.
As production begins at Maserati’s historic plant in Modena, the GT2 Stradale is poised to take its place as the pinnacle of the House of the Trident’s illustrious legacy. From the hills of Andalusia to the open roads of Europe, Maserati’s newest super sports car is ready to make its mark, offering an experience unlike any other for those fortunate enough to get behind the wheel.
