Maserati Stuns at Goodwood Festival with Iconic and Electric Debuts
3rd July 2024, London – Maserati is poised to captivate enthusiasts at the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed, marking a significant milestone as the brand celebrates the 20th anniversary of the MC12 with the global unveiling of two exclusive MC20 supercars. In a display that embodies passion, performance, and style, the Italian marque will also introduce the UK public to its third all-electric model, the GranCabrio Folgore.
Twenty years after the breathtaking debut of the MC12, Maserati pays tribute with two limited-edition MC20 models, Icona and Leggenda. Inspired by the legendary liveries of the MC12 Stradale and MC12 GT1 Vitaphone, these models will make their world premieres at this prestigious event.
Further accentuating Maserati’s rich racing heritage is the MC12 sequel, the track-focused Versione Corse, which launched in 2006. With only one prototype and a limited production run of 12 units, festival visitors will have the rare chance to witness the 755hp V12 powerhouse up close in the Supercar Paddock over the four-day event.

Transitioning from the racing revolution of the MC12 and MC20 to the electric era, the all-electric Maserati GranCabrio Folgore will also make its UK public debut at this year’s festival. As the world’s first electric four-seater convertible, the Folgore flagship features a cutting-edge electric drivetrain, delivering instantaneous torque for rapid acceleration, luxurious comfort for up to four passengers, and maintaining Maserati’s signature performance and elegance.
Visitors to Electric Avenue can explore the GranCabrio Folgore’s sophisticated design and advanced onboard technologies. Underneath, the latest model from the House of Trident boasts an 800-volt battery system, offering exceptional performance and seamless fast charging capabilities, perfect for long-distance grand touring.
The debutants showcased at the Goodwood Festival of Speed epitomize Maserati’s strategic approach of providing both petrol and electric options for discerning car buyers. In the UK, the all-new GranCabrio will arrive in showrooms next month, starting with the Trofeo model, followed closely by the Folgore, Maserati’s third all-electric offering.
