In a celebration of precision, passion, and uncompromising artistry, Maserati and Bianchet have joined forces to create the UltraFino Maserati, a Flying Tourbillon watch limited to 100 one-of-a-kind pieces. This collaboration marks a century of the iconic Maserati Trident, first emblazoned on the Tipo 26 that triumphed at the Targa Florio, and represents a rare intersection of Italian automotive brilliance and Swiss haute horlogerie.
The UltraFino Maserati is the natural convergence of two philosophies built on performance, elegance, and mechanical mastery. Maserati, with over a century of racing heritage, channels its expertise through cars like the MCPURA, whose Nettuno V6 engine and carbon-fibre monocoque illustrate an artistry in engineering that balances extreme power with refined control. Bianchet, hailing from Neuchâtel and crafting in La Chaux-de-Fonds, mirrors this vision in watchmaking, harmonising form and function with proportions rooted in the Golden Ratio.
Every detail of the UltraFino Maserati draws inspiration from the MCPURA supercar. The skeleton dial evokes the birdcage-style wheel architecture and triple split-spoke design, while the AI Aqua Rainbow finish reflects the prismatic depth first introduced on the MCPURA. Grade 5 titanium bridges and main plate, a carbon case, and a flying tourbillon cage mirror the torsional rigidity of the supercar, while integrated shock-absorbing solutions ensure the movement can withstand forces up to 5,000 G, echoing the MCPURA’s performance-focused suspension.
At the heart of this timepiece is the Bianchet UT01 calibre, a hand-finished movement measuring just 3.85 mm thick. The suspended mainspring barrel, 2.66-mm thin tourbillon cage, and bespoke winding system demonstrate a meticulous engineering approach, culminating in a 225-component, 29-jewel movement housed in a high-density carbon and rubber case. Weighing 36 g without the strap, the watch offers a 60-hour power reserve, sapphire crystal glazing, water resistance up to 5 ATM, and two strap options: an integrated carbon-fibre bracelet or a natural vulcanised rubber strap with titanium folding clasp.
Each UltraFino Maserati is individually numbered, celebrating the Trident’s centenary with a level of precision and finishing that aligns with both Maserati’s automotive excellence and Bianchet’s haute horlogerie standards. Guests at Watches and Wonders 2026 in Geneva are offered an exclusive MCPURA driving experience, an immersive encounter that underscores the creative dialogue between car and timepiece, engineering and aesthetics.
Cristiano Fiorio, Maserati Chief Marketing Officer, reflects on the collaboration: “UltraFino Maserati embodies a harmony where iconic design, elegance, and performance coexist. It transforms our sporting DNA and heritage into sophisticated elegance.” Rodolfo Festa Bianchet, Founder and CEO, adds: “This is not merely a watch inspired by a car. It is the meeting of two objects speaking the same language, where performance and beauty meet without compromise.”
The UltraFino Maserati stands as a rare convergence of two worlds, where the artistry of watchmaking meets the performance of Italian supercars, creating a timepiece that is both a technical marvel and a celebration of over a century of Maserati’s Trident legacy.
