Andrew Page Limited has announced today (Thursday, 12th July) a major acquisition that accelerates the company into one of the largest independent parts distribution businesses in the UK. The purchase of Camberley Auto Factors continues to build on the company’s expansion programme to a national scale with the objective of supplying to customers geographical coverage and class leading availability, service and support.

The Andrew Page acquisition brings the total number of company branches in the UK to over 90 which extends the business further as it seeks to develop national coverage. The two businesses have a shared vision of delivering a quality service in a demanding and challenging market. They are both compatible and complimentary and the combined strength of the two companies will deliver important synergies which will provide benefits to customers of both companies.

Commenting on today’s announcement, Andrew Page Limited, Managing Director Mark Roberts said: “The management team here is delighted to announce the acquisition of Camberley Auto Factors. The senior management team and our loyal staff look forward to working with the Camberley team to create the UK’s most successful independent motor factor. We now anticipate building on this success and continuing our national growth strategy with our new Chairman, Duncan Wilkes, together with the team at Phoenix working alongside us.”

Camberley Auto Factors, a family business which was formed some 40 years ago, has been successfully serving motor trade customers across the south of England and commenting on the acquisition, Camberley Auto Factors Managing Director, Dave Russell said: “It will be very much business as usual over the coming months as we continue to trade as Camberley Auto Factors. However, we anticipate that the strengths of the two companies combined will increasingly enable us to offer an even better service and enhanced and extended range of products and services.”

In conjunction with this important acquisition, Andrew Page and Phoenix are delighted to announce the appointment of Duncan Wilkes as the company’s non executive Chairman. Duncan has a wealth of experience in the automotive business most recently as Chief Executive Officer of Nationwide Auto Centres, the chain of over 220 car service centres. John Rastrick of Phoenix commented: “We are delighted to support Andrew Page with the acquisition of Camberley Auto Factors. We see substantial further growth potential for the business and are committed to supporting the company to achieve this. We are also very pleased with the appointment of Duncan Wilkes who joins the board at an exciting time in its development.”
