World premiere at 2025 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix celebrates Jim Clark’s unparalleled 1965 season with an exclusive, high-performance Emira.

Amsterdam, 2 May 2025 – Lotus has officially revealed the Emira Clark Edition, a fitting homage to one of motorsport’s greatest icons — Jim Clark. Limited to just 60 examples for selected global markets, the commemorative model made its world debut at the 2025 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, a stage befitting its legendary namesake.

Developed in close collaboration with the Jim Clark Trust, the Emira Clark Edition marks the 60th anniversary of Clark’s unforgettable 1965 season — a feat of racing dominance that remains unmatched. That year, Clark clinched the Formula 1 World Championship and conquered the Indianapolis 500 with Team Lotus, becoming the only driver in history to win both in the same year. His triumphs extended to Formula 2, the Tasman Series, and touring car racing in a Lotus Cortina, sealing his place as a true master of motorsport.

A Design Steeped in Heritage

The Emira Clark Edition doesn’t just honour Clark’s legacy in name — it channels it through meticulously considered design details that nod to his 1965 Indy-winning Lotus Type 38. Dressed in Clark Racing Green with a contrasting black roof, silver mirrors, and a hand-painted yellow racing stripe wrapping the front, the Emira commands presence. A bespoke machined aluminium fuel filler cap with a blue anodised centre and yellow-finished exhaust tips further cement the special-edition aesthetic.

Subtle yet impactful details abound — from the yellow pinstripe highlighting the Emira’s swage line to the Clark Edition door graphics inspired by the original branding found on Clark’s racing cars. This isn’t just a car — it’s rolling motorsport memorabilia.

Interior: A Driver’s Cockpit with a Personal Touch

Inside, the Emira Clark Edition immerses its occupants in motorsport nostalgia. The asymmetrical seat design features a red leather and Alcantara® driver’s seat contrasted by a black-trimmed passenger seat — a nod to Clark’s red-accented racing machines from the 1960s. Team Lotus embroidery adorns the seatbacks, while a Jim Clark signature graces the dashboard in elegant script.

A standout feature is the sixties-style wooden gear knob, a tactile throwback that blends seamlessly with modern performance. Unique carbon fibre treadplates are numbered (1 of 60), adding to the exclusivity, while a special Jim Clark tartan detail — sourced from Lochcarron of Scotland — accents the commemorative badging.

Each owner also receives a hand-crafted leather holdall tailored with Clark Edition detailing, underscoring the model’s bespoke nature.

Performance: Classic Spirit, Modern Might

Beneath the heritage-inspired bodywork beats the heart of a modern performance machine. The Emira Clark Edition is powered by the acclaimed 3.5-litre supercharged V6, delivering 400 hp through a six-speed manual gearbox and limited-slip differential. This configuration, combined with hydraulic steering and Lotus’s revered chassis tuning, promises a drive that is both visceral and precise.

Equipped with the Lotus Driver’s Pack, the Emira Clark Edition features sports suspension, Track Mode, and a sharper exhaust note — all curated for purists seeking connection to the road and racing DNA.

A Collector’s Dream, A Driver’s Delight

Priced at £115,000 in the UK and €140,000 in Germany, the Emira Clark Edition is poised to become one of the most collectible modern Lotuses ever made. With just 60 units available globally, this special-edition Emira doesn’t just honour history — it invites drivers to become a part of it.

As Lotus continues to evolve its lineup, the Emira Clark Edition stands as a powerful reminder of the brand’s roots in motorsport glory, and of a man whose extraordinary 1965 season remains the standard by which all others are judged.
