The 2024 edition of the Concours on Savile Row, London’s most stylish automotive event, is set to open in just two days, running from Wednesday, May 22nd to Thursday, May 23rd.
The previous year saw over 12,000 enthusiasts flock to the iconic bespoke tailoring street, where more than 40 exquisite cars and motorcycles were displayed by manufacturers and private collectors. This year, the event promises to surpass expectations with over 45 vehicles, including a stunning Everrati Porsche 964, a rare 1961 Ferrari 250GT SWB California Spyder, and the cutting-edge 2024 Koenigsegg Jesko.
The motorcycle segment will feature a selection from prestigious brands such as Kawasaki, Royal Enfield, Triumph, Zero Motorcycles, and BMW Motorrad. Noteworthy among these will be two fully electric models, the SRX Concept and the CE-02.
In a unique tribute to rock legend Charlie Watts, H. Huntsman & Sons and Hagerty Insurance will present Watts’ 1939 Lagonda LG6 Rapide on Savile Row, while his iconic suits will be exhibited inside Huntsman. A special discussion about Watts’ legacy will be held in the Huntsman lounge, featuring renowned automotive expert Simon Taylor, Dario Carnera, Head Cutter at Huntsman, and Paul Sexton, author of Watts’ official biography.
Henry Poole & Co will showcase two Mercedes-Benz marvels: a classic 1920 Benz Spyder and a modern S580 Guard. Visitors can also look forward to engaging talks about the luxury car brand and a tasting session featuring Savile Row Gin.
Gieves & Hawkes will host an extraordinary exhibit: the fuselage of the Spitfire AA810, the sole surviving aircraft linked to the historic Great Escape, accompanied by a 3D printed model of the Merlin engine set for its restoration.
Luxury cloth merchant Holland & Sherry, in collaboration with Austin Pedal Cars, will unveil an exclusive Austin J40 Continuation Holland & Sherry Edition pedal car. This bespoke Austin J40 features a Holland & Sherry interior, crafted from a specially designed cloth for this one-of-a-kind creation.
Norton & Sons will present PPE101, a Jaguar XK120, alongside a custom-designed racing kit for its participation in the 2024 Mille Miglia. This historic vehicle was previously owned and raced by Walter Grant-Norton, the great-grandson of the founder of Norton & Sons.
The Royal Academy of Arts Lecture Theatre will host two seminars sponsored by Blick Rothenberg. The first, titled “Restoration and Preservation: How Tailors, the Automotive Market, and the Art World Approach Sustainability,” will be held on May 22nd. The second, “The Future of Fuels: The Road to Zero Emissions,” is scheduled for May 23rd. Both seminars will be moderated by motorsports journalist Simon Taylor.
Making its public debut at the event on May 23rd, the CALLUM Skye will be a highlight. Renowned automotive designer Ian Callum, along with Richard Charlesworth, will discuss the Skye’s innovative design and engineering. This all-electric, all-wheel-drive vehicle is designed to excel both on and off-road, thanks to its robust technical specifications.
Additionally, Bennett Winch will present David Gandy’s Jaguar X120, while J.P. Hackett will feature a Formula E simulator and showcase new collections alongside a whiskey tasting session with Jenson Button’s Coachbuilt brand.
