London 2012 Table Tennis Update

I am betting that many more people are interested in Table Tennis now, than just before the start of London 2012 Olympics. During the Olympics 2012 Google featured some Google Doodles on their homepage which led to some less popular sports instantly becoming some of the most talked sports on the internet, with the mega exposure a Google Doodle brings.

I remember as a kid, we all had table tennis game sets and every now and then we will dust it off to play some table tennis. I haven’t played the game in ages until I bought my Nintendo Wii a few years ago and played some virtual Table Tennis. Today I watched some of the table tennis games on television and realized although the Nintendo Wii console tries to make the game realistic, it is not at all realistic compared to the real game. The Nintendo Wii table tennis game is great to have fun with and to work up some sweat and maybe good to learn the basics of the game, the score, rules and more, but comparing it to the skills necessary to play real table tennis, the Wii is no match for it!

To see how REAL Table Tennis are played I suggest that you watch some table tennis games during the London 2012 Table Tennis games. It is amazing to see how much skill these players have, and how good their hand and ball coordination are.

Who knows but hopefully the London 2012 Table Tennis Google doodle have reach so many users, that we will see a new live for Real Table tennis as a result of the exposure from the Google Doodle.
