Leapmotor B05: A Sporty New Icon for the Urban Generation
The star of Leapmotor’s unveiling is the B05 sport C-hatchback, making its world premiere in Munich. Conceived as a bold expression of youthful performance and innovation, the B05 is designed for drivers who embrace speed, style, and sustainability in equal measure.
Measuring 4,430 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,520 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,735 mm, the B05 combines compact agility with generous interior proportions. Its broad 1,880 mm shoulder width—the largest in its segment—delivers both presence on the road and comfort inside the cabin.
Key design cues include frameless doors, 19-inch “Swift-Wing” alloy wheels, and a muscular silhouette inspired by Leapmotor’s “Tech-Nature Aesthetic”, which fuses futuristic design with natural simplicity. These details underscore the B05’s athletic DNA while aligning with Leapmotor’s global design language.

Leapmotor B10: Smart Electric SUV for the European Market
While the B05 grabs headlines with its premiere, the Leapmotor B10 takes its first steps into the European market as the brand’s commercial spearhead. Orders for the smart electric SUV opened in July, and production is already running at full speed. Thanks to Leapmotor’s partnership with Stellantis, the B10 will be available through an extensive distribution network across Europe, with deliveries beginning immediately during IAA Mobility 2025.
At a starting price of €29,900 (local market prices may vary), the B10 enters the competitive C-segment SUV market, combining versatility, intelligent features, and affordability. Its launch represents a calculated move into Europe’s largest vehicle category, appealing to young professionals, small families, and tech-savvy urban dwellers.
Built on the LEAP3.5 architecture, the B10 integrates cockpit and driving controls into one of the world’s most compact central domain systems, with just 996 meters of wiring. This highly efficient platform supports continuous over-the-air upgrades, ensuring the vehicle evolves over time.
Design, Space, and Everyday Usability
The B10’s design strikes a balance between youthful dynamism and practical utility. With dimensions of 4,515 mm in length, 1,885 mm in width, and 1,655 mm in height, the SUV feels agile yet spacious. Inside, it delivers one of the roomiest cabins in its class, featuring:
- 2,390 mm rear seat-to-footwell space
- 1,400 mm rear passenger width
- Class-leading headroom of 1,027 mm (front) and 1,005 mm (rear)
- 22 intelligent storage compartments for daily practicality
The cabin’s centerpiece is a 14.6-inch 2.5K floating touchscreen, powered by the Snapdragon 8155 chip, running Leap OS 4.0 Plus. With immersive 3D graphics, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration (via OTA update), and customizable driving modes, the system reflects Leapmotor’s vision of a tech-enhanced driving experience.
Performance, Range, and Safety
The B10 is powered by a 218 hp electric motor with 240 Nm torque, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in 8 seconds with a top speed of 170 km/h. Customers can choose between two battery options:
- 56.2 kWh (Pro) – WLTP range up to 361 km
- 67.1 kWh (ProMax) – WLTP range up to 434 km
Both support 11 kW AC charging and 168 kW ultra-fast DC charging, enabling 30–80% charge in under 20 minutes.
Ride comfort and handling benefit from a 50:50 weight distribution, a multi-link rear suspension, and chassis tuning co-developed with Stellantis engineers. Safety is prioritised with a high-strength steel safety cage, 17 ADAS features, a 360° camera system, and a targeted five-star Euro NCAP rating.
Trim Levels: Life and Design
The B10 is available in two well-equipped trims:
- Life – includes a panoramic glass roof, 18-inch alloy wheels, 360° parking camera, and full ADAS package.
- Design – adds ECO leather seats, ambient lighting, and heated, ventilated, electrically adjustable front seats.
