Land Rover ExpoThis November will see an exciting exhibition featuring the work of Land Rover’s six Global Humanitarian & Conservation Partners; International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), Born Free Foundation, Biosphere Expeditions, China Exploration & Research Society (CERS),  Earthwatch Institute and Royal Geographical Society (with IBG).

From 14 – 18 Nov 2011, the display at the prestigious Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) in South Kensington, London, will showcase the invaluable work of the Global Partners and their numerous projects utilising Land Rover’s all-terrain vehicles, stretching across the four corners of the world.  The exhibition is open to the public and entry is free.

In the RGS’ Ondaatje Theatre on 15 November, Land Rover ambassador and guest lecturer Ben Saunders will be speaking on the ‘Insights of a Polar Explorer’.

Ben Saunders, Polar Explorer said, “I’m delighted to be sharing my experiences and expertise of some of the world’s most inhospitable terrain at such a respected institution as the Royal Geographical Society. To do so during the Land Rover in Action exhibition week surrounded by Land Rover’s Humanitarian and Conservation partners makes this even more special.”

Mark Cameron, Global Brand Extension Director for Land Rover added, “Land Rover are extremely proud to celebrate the important work of our six Global Humanitarian and Conservation Partners, with everything that has been achieved this year through projects right around the world.

“From helping to alleviate the suffering of wild animals and supporting cultural conservation, as well as delivering aid to those most vulnerable around the world, we are very much looking forward to continue supporting all our Global Partners with our all-terrain vehicles.”

PopBangColour’s Ian Cook, a UK-based radio-controlled car artist will also be in residency to create ‘live’ artworks of ‘Land Rovers In Action’ all week. With a passion and enthusiasm for colour and a keen eye for form, Cook uses contemporary processes to create his automotive artworks in the most intriguing way – via remote-controlled cars instead of paintbrushes.

The Global Humanitarian & Conservation Partnerships forms part of an integrated approach to sustainability and sit within Land Rovers’ Our Planet.
