Kia has officially announced the UK pricing and details for their latest Sorento model, a seven-seater SUV that combines comfort with sophistication. The starting price for the new Sorento is set at £41,995, making it more accessible by £3,030 compared to the previous entry-level version. The lineup will consist of three distinct grades named ‘2’, ‘3’, and ‘4’, each available with three engine options: a 2.2-litre diesel, a 1.6-litre turbocharged-petrol hybrid (HEV), and a 1.6-litre turbocharged-petrol plug-in hybrid (PHEV). Depending on the variant, the vehicles come with either a 6-speed automatic or an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.
As the Sorento reaches its 21st year in the market, its popularity continues to be a testament to Kia’s evolving brand perception in the UK. This fourth-generation Sorento, which has been available since August 2020, now boasts a refreshed look inside and out, drawing design cues from Kia’s flagship EV9 SUV. The Sorento features new vertical headlights, star map daytime running lights, and redesigned alloy wheels, emphasizing its robust and adventurous appearance. The interior has also seen a revamp, adopting Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy and introducing premium features like fingerprint recognition and dual curved 12.3-inch displays.

All Sorento models come exceptionally equipped, maintaining Kia’s straightforward three-tier grade structure. Standard features include LED lighting, electrically adjustable heated door mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, heated front seats, a smart entry system, a 12.3-inch touchscreen navigation, and various safety and convenience technologies. The vehicle also underscores Kia’s commitment to safety with comprehensive active and passive safety features across all models.
Color options for the UK market include the standard Mineral Blue and five additional premium colors, with an extra cost of £675 for these special hues.
The entry-level Sorento ‘2’ offers notable features like 17-inch alloy wheels (19-inch on PHEV), tinted glass, and a blend of cloth and artificial leather upholstery, among others. The mid-range ‘3’ enhances the experience with 19-inch alloys, LED headlights, privacy glass, and advanced driver support systems. The top-tier ‘4’ grade presents the pinnacle of technology and luxury with unique alloy wheel designs, panoramic sunroof, Nappa leather upholstery, and a suite of high-tech features including a digital key and fingerprint recognition.
With this launch, Kia continues to offer an attractive mix of luxury, technology, and safety, packaged within its acclaimed Sorento model.
