The Kia PV5 has made a remarkable debut in the UK electric Light Commercial Vehicle (eLCV) sector, securing both the coveted ‘Van of the Year’ and ‘Best Electric Van’ titles at the 2026 Parkers Van and Pickup Awards. This double triumph marks the PV5’s first wins at these prestigious awards and underscores Kia’s growing influence in the electric commercial vehicle market.
The Parkers Van and Pickup Awards, held annually, celebrate the very best in the UK commercial vehicle sector. Winners are determined by Parkers’ team of expert reviewers, who assess each model on performance, practicality, and overall value.
Tom Webster, Parkers Vans Editor and Deputy Head of the Digital Automotive Hub at Bauer Media, praised the PV5’s strong debut:
“The Kia PV5 would have been an excellent van had it been made by one of the long-established names in the industry, but that it has come from a brand without that heritage is even more impressive. Not only is it good to drive and fitted with a comfortable, well-equipped cabin, the PV5 is staggeringly good value, undercutting even much smaller diesel rivals, which are typically the entry point to van ownership.”
Webster added, “It’s priced at a point where it has really made the industry sit up and take notice. It’s a first attempt from Kia, but it’s one that has really shaken things up, with the promise of more to come.”

Paul Philpott, President and CEO at Kia UK Limited, welcomed the recognition:
“It’s fantastic to add two awards to the PV5’s already growing collection. This double win reveals the practical and compelling nature of our first electric van and sets a standard of excellence across all our upcoming electric commercial vehicles, which will be sold through our new network of dealer partners dedicated to commercial vehicles.”
The PV5 is setting new benchmarks in the e-LCV segment, combining performance, capability, and flexibility with a modern, comfortable cabin. Its innovative design reflects Kia’s commitment to shaping the future of electric motoring. Following its recent accolade as The Sun’s ‘Van of the Year’ at the 2025 News UK Motor Awards, the PV5 continues to collect honours, reinforcing its reputation as a versatile and forward-thinking vehicle.
Currently, the PV5 is available in L2H1 Cargo and five-seater Passenger variants. Kia plans to expand the lineup next year with additional Cargo sizes and six- and seven-seat Passenger models. Looking further ahead, the PV7 is slated for 2027, followed by the PV9 in 2029, signalling Kia’s ambitious roadmap in the eLCV market.
The Kia PV5 Cargo and Passenger are now available to order through Kia’s new PBV Centre network, with deliveries expected later this year. This double win at the Parkers Van and Pickup Awards solidifies the PV5’s place as a benchmark for practicality, innovation, and value in the rapidly evolving world of electric commercial vehicles.
