Automotive powerhouse reaffirms its long-standing commitment to cancer support initiatives, helping raise vital funds for BRIGHT Cancer Care and Skcin.
Women On the Move Against Cancer (WOMAC) is proud to announce Kia UK as the headline sponsor for its highly anticipated 2025 Fundraiser, set to take place on June 17 at The Kia Oval in London. This flagship event is poised to be a powerful gathering of purpose-driven individuals, raising essential funds for two vital cancer charities: BRIGHT Cancer Care and Skcin.
With a relationship that spans several years, Kia’s continued partnership with WOMAC underscores the brand’s unwavering dedication to impactful social causes. As a leading force in the UK automotive market, Kia’s support will once again be instrumental in helping WOMAC generate financial backing for research, treatment, awareness, and care for people affected by cancer.
“Kia is delighted to support WOMAC in its important mission and the fight against cancer,” said Paul Philpott, President and CEO of Kia UK. “With so many affected by the disease, it’s an honour to continue to support the vital work WOMAC is doing and to help fund research, treatments, care and awareness.”
Driving Change: Where the Funds Will Go
This year’s fundraiser will benefit two outstanding charities:
BRIGHT Cancer Care is dedicated to supporting cutting-edge research and life-extending treatments for patients with gastrointestinal (GI) and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) cancers. Working closely with specialists at St Luke’s Cancer Centre and the HPB Surgery Unit at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, BRIGHT funds medical research projects and purchases high-spec equipment for surgeries, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiotherapy and more.
Skcin, meanwhile, is on a mission to stop skin cancer before it starts. The organisation leads nationwide education campaigns focusing on prevention and early detection, particularly targeting high-risk age groups. With young adults aged 15 to 34 most at risk, and a notably higher incidence among men, Skcin’s life-saving programmes are geared towards encouraging early diagnosis and promoting safe behaviours.
Money raised at the event will directly fuel these initiatives, helping both charities continue their transformative work.
