Kia UK has unveiled the nationwide network of its upcoming PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicle) Centres—paving the way for the arrival of its first purpose-built electric van, the PV5. The announcement marks a significant milestone in Kia’s transition into the commercial EV sector, with pre-orders now open ahead of the PV5’s official UK rollout in late 2025.
Designed from the ground up to serve professional van operators, the PBV Centre network will deliver a comprehensive sales and aftersales experience tailored specifically to Kia’s new generation of commercial vehicles. The centres—located strategically across the UK—are expected to be operational in time for first customer deliveries of the PV5, signalling the brand’s serious intent in reshaping the light commercial vehicle market.
A Nationwide Network Built for Commercial Success
The new PBV Centres form the backbone of Kia’s long-term vision to become a major player in the commercial EV space. With over 60 locations confirmed, including sites in Liverpool, Glasgow, Milton Keynes, Cardiff, and Norwich, the network is poised to offer extensive coverage and consistent customer support. These centres will be operated by a trusted mix of long-standing Kia dealer partners and experienced commercial vehicle retailers.
Each PBV Centre will be equipped with dedicated sales areas, bespoke service receptions, and specialist workshops featuring high-capacity ramps and advanced diagnostic equipment. In addition to tailored facilities, every location will boast a trained team of sales consultants, technicians, and service advisors—all focused on supporting commercial customers with speed and precision.
“The new PBV Centre network will be built on the back of our successful partnership with our dealer network,” commented Paul Philpott, President and CEO of Kia UK. “We will capitalise on our fleet and business expertise within our network and operate very much under the same franchise principles that have earned us praise from partners and customers alike.”
PV5: Electrifying the Future of Fleet
The Kia PV5 is the company’s first fully electric commercial vehicle, and it’s already generating significant interest following its UK debut at the Commercial Vehicle Show earlier this year. Starting at £27,645 (excluding VAT) for the PV5 Cargo L2/H1, and eligible for a further £5,000 reduction through the government’s OZEV Plug-in Van Grant, the PV5 offers a compelling value proposition.
The model range includes five core variants—Cargo, Passenger, Crew, Chassis Cab, and WAV (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle)—all backed by Kia’s industry-leading seven-year/100,000-mile warranty. Designed to cater to a diverse range of businesses and fleet requirements, the PV5 combines electric innovation with everyday practicality.
In its first full year on sale, Kia UK aims to deliver between 3,000 and 4,000 units of the PV5. That figure is expected to grow significantly over the coming years, with a projected target of 17,000 PBV sales annually by 2030.

A Strategic Vision for Commercial Mobility
The launch of the PBV Centre network and PV5 represents a key milestone in Kia’s global ‘Plan S’ strategy, which outlines the brand’s ambition to transition from traditional car manufacturing to a holistic mobility solutions provider. The PBV programme is central to this transformation, offering a modular vehicle platform designed to support a wide range of business needs.
Kia has already confirmed plans to expand its PBV range beyond the PV5. A larger model, the PV7, is set to debut in 2027, followed by the PV9 in 2029—each designed to offer even greater capacity and flexibility for larger-scale operations.
Future-Ready and Customer-Focused
Kia’s PBV Centres demonstrate a forward-thinking approach that prioritises customer experience, operational efficiency, and seamless electric mobility. Whether it’s small businesses looking for a reliable zero-emissions delivery van or fleet operators seeking scalable, service-backed solutions, Kia’s PBV strategy is built to deliver.
With the foundation now laid and pre-orders live, the countdown to the PV5’s arrival—and the next chapter in Kia’s mobility journey—has officially begun.
