MG Motors has announced the appointment of Jozef Kaban as Vice President of its Global Design Centre. At 51, Kaban brings with him a wealth of experience and an impressive portfolio in automotive design, making this a significant hire for MG.
In his new role, Kaban will be tasked with steering MG’s global design direction. His appointment comes at a pivotal time for the company as it celebrates its centenary and gears up for the launch of the Cyberster EV roadster, a high-performance electric vehicle, set to debut in late 2024.
Further excitement surrounds MG’s imminent reveal of the EXE181 concept car at the upcoming Beijing motor show. This new model pays homage to MG’s heritage, drawing inspiration from the 1957 land-speed record holder, the EX181.

Kaban’s illustrious career in automotive design includes stints at major car manufacturers such as BMW, Skoda, and Rolls-Royce. Notably, he played a key role in designing the iconic Bugatti Veyron supercar. Prior to joining MG, Kaban also served as the chief exterior designer at Audi, where his projects included the acclaimed Audi A5 coupe.
Educated at the prestigious Royal Academy of Art in London, Kaban is recognized globally for his visionary approach to automotive design, making him a perfect fit for propelling MG into its next century of innovation and success.
